Recently laid off from the HVAC industry due to the restrictions of my gas fitter certificate, I am having troubles finding another company who'll hire me unless I go back to school to upgrade my license.

I'm over $1000 in debt with montly bills racking up and the employment ressource centre is not offering any help until i've "searched for jobs" for 6 months.

I am expecting a call tomorow to find out if I got a job or not with a company. But again its a starting position with low wage, same problem as before. If I take the job, employment ressources won't help me go back to school anymore.

So do I take the job and pay the $2500 for schooling myself going into further debt? Or would it be more financially logical to turn down the job and wait 4 more months for employment ressources to kick in?

I file for Chapter 13 several weeks ago and now every account in my credit report is listed as part of the Chapter 13 plan and there is record of the Chapter 13 been filled with the court. They plan hasn't been confirmed. What happens if I decide to withdraw the filling? can I do this? what happens to my credit? and how my possibilities to (ie. apply for an apartment) be affected?

To start with, I am not looking for a get rich quick idea. I am losing my social security disability and need a way to make some extra cash from home. (I do not have a drivers license). Have been searching and have found nothing but scams. I am an excellent typist and have lots of time on my hands. (Am currently a online/at home student with a big named career school. Studying to be a Vet. Asst.) Does anyone have any ideas on how I might make a little bit of extra cash from home while I finish my studies?

I'm 17 and I just opened a checking account at a local bank a week or so ago. In order for me to have my checking account my Mom had to add me onto hers which gives her full access to my money. (I earn this money at my job and I'm trying to save, its not like she puts the money in there its all mine) I didn't think there would be any problems but I went to the bank last night to take money out and the teller told me there wasn't enough. I asked for a printout and it said that there was funds transfered from my account into my Mom's. I gave her money the other day too. I had no knowledge of this. I'm asking if there is any way that I can secure my account? Or are there any other ways for me to open my own? I think I might have my boyfriend co-sign on another one with me. How should I react to this though?

14 years and don't add a thing to it - what approximate balance will I have at the end of that 14 yrs? I realize that nobody can give me an accurate answer as it depends on the stock it is invested in. All I know is that it is a "conservative risk" stock with Vanguard Star fund and I guess what I wonder is what othere peoples opinions are as to what is the average rate of return.

Granted, I do plan on putting in a couple thousand each year (minimum) but would like a feel for what it can do for me. Thanks in advance to those knowledgeable and experienced in this field. I appreciate your opinion.
