Hello, Reading a newspaper, I got to ask myself why people simultaneously hold financial assets and liabilities.
Do you know why?
Is there any advantage to doing so? If so, what is it?
I am looking forward to having good answers from you guys.
Thank you for reading!

The land belonged to my father and was recently deeded to myself AND my brother and sister. Can I use that as collateral for a bank loan?

Not too long ago, I asked you all, would you confront gossiping co-workers? Well, I guess I don't need to worry about that anymore, because I just got fired and now I don't have to deal with them anymore. I'm relieved but scared at the same time. Unfortunately, I don't have much money saved for a rainy day and I really wish I had listened to my parents more, when I was still living at home. Fortunately I paid my landlord $300.00 in advance for October's rent and I gave my brother $280.00 to flip for me. He said, he could have $400.00 for me, by the 1st. I'll have $105.00 to my name at that point. I was supposed to be moving into a new apartment by the first week of November because me lease is up. Can't get unemployment. My brother advises me to stay in the house to save money, that's cool, for now. I haven't told my parents and I don't think I should have to, I'm grown and besides what could they say except "find a new job FAST" and ***** at me? If you were me, what would you do?

Someone please tell me how to go about this, I'm on my own with this sort of thing....How long must I be established at my job before I am qualified for a car loan? I just opened my first bank account as well. Would this be a smart thing to do?

If you have assets, do they support monthly passive income? Or does it depend on what it is? I read that if you have assets that build capital, then your receiving income that is not taxed because its coming from your assets.

Do you receive passive income monthly if you have stocks because its an asset? Or you only receive income when you sell it?

OK well I just opened and account at TCF bank today. This is my first time ever opening an account and well I think they might have suckered me into something. I asked for the holiday savings thinking it would be better than the other savings because they said that it would only cost me $2. Then after I had my account all set up and everything she told me I have to make sure I have $25 in my account a month so i can deposit mony over to my savings. What does she mean by that? Because I read the brochure she gave me on it and it says I should have no monthly charge but I'm really confused and dont know what to do, because I'm still a student in High School and I dont really work and having to make sure my account has $25 to put in to a savings every month is a lot if I'm not going to get to spend it until the following year. Are they just taking $2 out a month or what? Or did they take me for a fool? Did I just make a really big mistake? Please help me out please!!!!

I reside in Ohio and I have read over the new law and I am confused-- under limitation on luxury good sec 310 it says "cash advances aggregating more than $750.00 that are extensions of consumer credit under an open end credit plan obtained by an individual debtor on or within 70 days before the order of relief under this title, are presumed to be nondischargeable" . I took the loan on August 9th and I plan to file October 4th to avoid a court date October 5th. which will be within 70 days.

This is NOT an open end credit plan so does anyone know if it can be dischargedl? If it can't does anyone know if I will be forced to pay it back all at once or can I make payments?

THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a loan out with Citifinancial.

I asked them to change the payment date, they said they would have to get the approval from the head office. This request was put to them in July 2006.

Every month, I get letters telling me the payment is late and they apply a £10.00 late charge to the account, so far I have incurred £180.00 worth of charges.

I called them today, I told her that I asked for the date to be changed, she looked at the history and said that no one called me to tell me that they could not change the date, this was back in July 2006 so I have incurred charges because theyy could not inform me of what I asked.

Should I demand a refund?

Took out a loan 6 years ago for 90K at like 5.75%. I'm paying around $900/month on it over 30 yrs. The calculators on Yahoo though say I can get a 90K loan now at 6% and only pay $540/month over 30 yrs. What is going on? Did I just get taken to the cleaners somehow? Is there anything I can do?

My daughter bought a house with her fiance in 05' (in California) they have a first and a second. The second is fixed but the first is a variable and the interest rate is doubling. They put no money down and the first was an interest only loan, therefore there is no equity and the house has declined significantly in value due to the market. Also, she has $15,000 in credit card debt. I am thinking they just might be better off if she files for bankruptcy at this point (yes she has learned her lesson) and perhaps in the future they can purchase another home maybe even sooner since he has pretty good credit, housing prices are a lot lower and he could qualify for a loan.
