I invested my $20,000 to a Senior Loan Fund C when I was advised to switch from CD to this loan. I told the bank broker that I do not want my $20,000 be decreased at all no matter what. 2 months later it decreased by $200. I told her that I want out but she kept on saying to stay for another 2 months and it will grow. But later on it decreased by $900. I was so mad, i took it out with penalty charge. I repeatedly told her that in the very beginning I do not want it to go down not a single penny because that $20,000 is intended for a good cause. She told me that it will never go down. Now I am short of $900. Had I stayed with CD I would have earned about $200 of interest already. Can I sue her for lying to me?

Apparently he made a speech recently and I need to know what he said that "telegraphed" regarding the federal interest rate plans. Did it had to do with credit loans?

10 Yrs ago, my ex-wifes spending and my ignorance wrecked my credit, I have finally gotten it all off my record, and cannot get credit now for a lack of history. No history, No Credit, but ironically, No Credit, No way to build history.

I am in a position to pay off my car and my wife's car, for a total of $42k. That would still leave us with some savings, and a 6 month "emergency fund". We plan on buying a house in 3-5 years. Should I pay them off and be debt free, or stick the money in a CD for now? If I pay them off, I will free up almost $900/month in cash flow that won't go towards car payments and can be put in an money market or investment account.... thoughts?

We have made some foolish mistakes and don't know how to fix them. don't worry, we've learned from them. we are 3 pmt past due on my vehicle. I'd give it up but they said my monthly pmt would still remain the same. weve talked to bankruptcy lawyer and he said we would lose the land that is in my husbands name but it's not ours, it's his moms. she thought she could trust us by putting the land in our name but now we are in danger of losing it. i just had to quit my job because i don't have babysitters and can't afford daycare. my husband works 70-80 hrs a week and we just need to catch up on past due payments for a chance to keep up. is there anything else we can do. its hard to make budget because we never know how many hrs he can work. i'm gonna go back to work when he can stay home and watch the kids. I just need someone to suggest a debt management company or a book i can get from the library for advice. I'll let you know anything else if anyone wants to help us. thank you

In the long run what would be more beneficial for my wife and me. To use savings to max out our IRA's for 2007 & 2008 or use that money as a 5% down payment on a new home? We are 27 & 25 and are already planning for retirement. The monthly payment difference would not be a concern at this time, but I want to make the best choice for the long-term. Thanks!!

Ok so my bank talked me into apply for a credit card to avoid overdraft fees in my checking account. Well yesterday they cashed three checks, none of which I had the money for in my checking account. Instead of taking the money off my credit card, and there was $800 on the card, they charged me a $27 overdraft fee for each check and returned them. Now I have to pay my vet a $35 returned check fee for two checks and call a friend of mine to assure she's going to get her money from me. How should I take care of this, because I am very very mad. I want to yell and scream, but that doesn't always work.

Hi, I am a 24 y/old...I really need some advice....Whenever I have some extra cash left on me I always seem to spend it...on any dumb little thing....I wish I could just put it away, save it, pretend it's not there so that later on I can invest it on something valuable or use it to go on a nice vacation (which I've been planning for a while) but due to my spending habits I haven't been able to. Any tips on how to take the anxiety away and save my cash!!!!!

Many friends of mine seem to know how to save, or know how to control their spending habits...

Any tips???
