To answer your question? Read the fine print of the New Account Application.
Banks typically share the credit information internally with other departments within the Bank in an attempt to cross-sell other products and services to you based on the information you provided on the New Account Application.
In terms of a Credit Check?
No Bank's do NOT share this information but if they obtain a copy of your Credit Bureau Report from Equifax, Experian or TransUnion for a form of Credit Application then they can see the types and number of inquiries from a Creditor.
Note these inquiries may affect your Credit Score.
Whenever you submit a Credit Application you would want to be accurate and truthful about your income and expenses written on the application or given to the Banker or Customer Service Rep to ensure an accurate credit decision based on your ability to re-pay the debt if granted or approved for you.
Protect your credit and GOOD LUCK! :-)

everything that is found out from a credit report, even the fact that you are applying for credit goes back to your credit report. you can even see if you have applied for credit 5 times in the past month.
***** OK, since someone pointed out that this has nothing to do with credit checks, let me add:
It would depend on the timing on how long you wait between visiting different branches. Obviously they cannot compare informations if you were at both branches the same day.
But eventually, if the information is “different” enough you may get caught and get in trouble for it if they feel you did it purposely.
My mother got accused of “fraud” when someone at the bank misspelled her last name ending in a Z instead of an S.

I read the big 3 as the 3 major credit reporting agencies, Trans Union. Equifax and Experian.
The information in the terms and conditions of your account should spell out who who, what when and how's of the account. It is very common for financial institutions to report information on credit to the big 3 credit reporting agencies. That info would include limits on the account, current balance, payment amount and payment history.

Nearly every finance / business (except maybe mom and pop grocery on the corner ) shares data with the big 3 .
All of them get reports from the 3 also .
About the only 'secret' you have is your favourite puppy or if you cut class in high school . . .
And the way it is going , those won't be secret much longer .

The easiest way to determine if your information will be shared is to carefully read their Privacy Policy. If the banks are not affiliated in any way, it's unlikely they would share data.
