I put everything on credit cards, from groceries, gasoline, and the cable bill to furniture and home improvements. I do it for the cash rebate offered by the card, because it gives me free use of the credit card's money for a month, and because it gives me a record of my purchases. I don't pay any finance charges because I always pay the bill in full each month.

I purchase about $50 a month on a gas card, which I pay off every month so there is no finance charge.

I have a debit/credit card that pays 1% cash back when used as a credit card, so I have a profit from it rather than a finance charge.

I charge my insurance and gas sometimes clothing and anything I buy on the internet.
I don't pay finance charges because I pay for what I buy before the end of the grace period.
