I'm fifteen, and I've lived in a hand-to-mouth situation my whole life. I would really like to rectify this in my future, heck even now would be GREAT. What are some ways I can prevent this problem from carrying over into my adult life? I'm going to get kicked into my own shoes some time in the imment future, and I don't want to have to struggle like I've watched my parents do my whole life. Serious answers, please, I'm not joking.

We owe $18,000 in credit cards and the 0% interest is about to end. We could get a home equity line of credit with a pretty low monthly payment or my husband can borrow from his stocks and the interest charged is paid back into his retirement account. The only problem with this is the payment is going to be higher at 9.25%. I know with the other loan we would be paying the interest to the bank but the payment is more affordable and I could pay extra when possible. I just don't want to be strapped for money every month. Thanks for your help.

My husband and I are seperated for two years. We own home joint title.

He wants to be off the mortgage and title. I have agreed to pay him a sum of money over time, but he is willing to quit claim or let me refinance on my own however I want. We trust each other and he does not need the money any time soon....

If he signs title over to me, will I have a taxable event? If I am only paying him as I can over time, does he have taxable event.

Trying to figure out the best way to do this cleanly....

You have a sum of money coming to you, to claim this money there will be a 25% finders fee. If you agree, there will be a contract to sign, and then after a short period you will recieve your refund.
In the contract it will say that if you do not pay the 25% of the refund, you will be taken to court, and at that time you will be required to pay 50% of the refund.
Would you respond?
Thank you!

I live in Killeen and bank with IBC in Austin. It's a huge pain to drive to Austin to deposit cash and checks. Plus lately their customer service has been kind of crappy. I'd like to switch banks. I need something that has an awesome online banking program, no monthly fees (free checking) and has debit cards. Also something local, and has flexible hours-- such as open all day saturday or late on week nights. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks! Oh and no Bank of America, I've already heard HORRIBLE things about them. Maybe extraco?

****UK question*****

Right, my mate has £0.00 in his bank account. On Friday, he has a £200 DD going out, but he also has £300.00 coming in from work. Will the DD go out, if not then will he get charged?

At work I saw a case like this and our employee got charged £35.00 from a certain bank. In the terms it states that the money must be in the bank at least 1 day before the DD goes out.

Thank you.

I'm 37 years old and I just went through a divorce where I assumed 15k in credit card debt at 12% interest from my ex. I have 175k in a retirement account through Fidelity. Should I withdrawal 15k out of my retirement account and eliminate this debt or pay 1,500 a month until the debt is gone?
