Well, let's see, if they're offering you $500,000 out of the blue, then you can be sure it's a scam. I get at least 1 per day, never mind 3 in 4 months. Consider yourself lucky that you get so few.

I am not sure to what you are referring? Can you provide more details?
If this is a business proposition, you are right to check it out first. The old saying goes 'If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is." (a scam, that is!)
You can check the company out through the BBB site (Better Business Bureau) Go to BBB.Org. Hopefully, there will be some information there.
Don't be pressured into giving up your hard earned money. Ask around. Ask for references. If you don't get any, that's a red flag that something isn't right.

Are you getting these offers via email? Then stop opening unsolicited email form unknow people. When you open one, you let the sender know they have a live email and they flood you with spam.
You will never find anything of any value in spam. Just delete it unopened.
If you're getting these offers via regular mail, just trash them. If they're asking for money up front to send you some huge sum, it's a scam.

NO. NO. NO. Send them no information. Was I clear? You're describing the classic scam.
