After looking for a loan online, I was contacted by Linda Barnes from Loan Aid Inc., phone number 1-866-821-8501 ext 2. She told me I was guaranteed for $10,000 at a 7% interest rate to be paid over a 2 year term for $447.27/mo, or a 4 year term at $239.00/mo. But to "insure" my loan, I have to pay a $1250.00 security fee. She said she would be emailing me all the documents to fill out.

I opened a Washington Mutual account last week. I deposited a $4500 check from Citifinancial. The check itself is a personal loan check. They said it would take 7 days for it to fully go through and be available to me. I really need the money soon. I need to purchase a car ASAP! I really can't afford to wait 7 days. Is there anything I can do to speed the process up?

I have recently aquired a great deal of payday loans. I am unable to make the minimum payments due to a recent seperation from my husband. I literally aquired the loans becuase he has been unable to maintain a steady job with adequate income. I fear jail time and I am not certain if there is anything I can do to prevent the worst. Things are already tough at home regardless the financial instability.

With all the bad news about CountryWide, I got some questions about FDIC.

I have a SavingsLink account with CountryWide (less than $100K) . I think SavingsLink account is FDIC insured.

But, someone (from another big bank) told me that it could take many months to get my money back from FDIC.

Or some cases, you might not get compensated at all if the bank (that goes bankrupt) is a giant one like CountryWide.

Are these true? Could someone explane to me what would happen to me if CountryWide goes bankrupt?

Should I move my money out of CountryWide right the way?

My husband bought a new home 2 years ago. My husband has lots credit card debt and we need to get out of it because one of them is in arbutration. so here are the fact would you do this?
does this sound reasonable?
we pay $110 for our mortgage now
$211.50 to our car
$300 to our other car plus utilitys
if we refi we can pay off the debts and our $300 car payment.
our other car will be paid off next june.
our house payment will be $1500 if we refi
does this sound like it will benifit us or should we not take the deal?

The cable bill is $130 per month (cable, internet, phone). It was the roommates responsibility to pay this and I paid the other bills. She did not pay this bill in two months so it is over $300 with late charges accrueing. The roommates name is on this bill, not mine! I don't feel as if it is my responsibility to pay her bills. Since she moved out, can I create a new account with the cable company? Will I have to pay her bill because it is the same address? Also I have the equipment here (cable box & internet box), can I reconnect using the past equipment? If I get a new account under my name, I will be able to get the introductory offer of only $99 per month, so I will also be saving money. Any advice on this would be extremely helpful!

My brother opened up a Schwab custodial account for his son, before he and his wife were divorced, but now she is claiming she "wants to make deposits" into the account herself and therefore needs ownership. Is this true? This woman can't handle her money and is notorious for burning through every dollar within reach, no matter whose money it is.

I will have the money on Tuesday but they will not wait does anyone have any suggestions as to what to do? I know I should pay my bills on time but we have had some major set backs. I have to have the internet because I take online classes right now. Any suggestions would be great.
