i have a $1,000 bill with sprint when i've always dealt with cingular. I've just paid off 3 bills that were sent to mercantile.
I just don't know what the deal is.

i think it is time you took your cell phone and flushed it down the toilet and start acting like an adult and pay your bills!!!

Were those three bills past due? Then that pretty much explains your credit score.

The only thing worse than no credit is only having a little credit and most of it being late payment.

You're spending waaaay too much time on your cell phone if you've got a $1,000 bill.

how old and how much were the three bills you paid off? They must have been months or years late. I've never heard of anyone with a credit score below 500. Mine never even went that low and I had a bankruptcy -it's back up over 720 now

probably because of the $1000 bill. Better call Sprint and clear things up. The longer it's there, the worse for your credit. Once they clear you, get a copy of your credit report. You are entitled to one free report a year (annualcreditreport.com). whichever companies you have a problem with, you have to call them and work things out.
someone else may be using your social security number to get a large amount of credit. make sure every entry on the report is yours. then call the three credit reporting companies: Experian, TransUnion and Equifax to report any discrepancies. they will ask you to file the report.

If you have bills that have been sent to collection then you have bad credit. 403 is a very very low score.

uh, call them and ask why the heck they're billing you $1000?

Just a guess...

Also, I *BELIEVE* one of them recently bought out the other, you might want to check that first.
