how long before you can file bankruptcy after you file a chapter 7 bankruptcy

The laws have changed in bankruptcy. I'm not too sure, but I think it's now every 8 years. If you recently filed, you have to wait 8 years before you can file again.
If you have problems with your bills, you can contact the Consumer Credit Counseling Service in your area. Check out the yellow pages for the nearest location.
