I keep getting letters from my old company saying I owe them over $700 dollars. I never received this money, I have told them this several times. Last time I responded I told them to provide proof that the money was sent to me. They just now responded with none, still saying I owe them.
Heres the deal, my last two days I had worked was paid to me June 8th (this was for the pay period of 05/14-05/27). I didnt receive anything after.
This is their letter:
"The direct deposit you received on June 8, 2007 is for the pay period 05/28-06/10. As previously stated [company] pays current with adjustment in arrears. That means you were paid your full 80 hours for two weeks ending on Sunday, 06/10 after payday of Friday, 06/08. However, you did not work any hours during this time. The net amount for this direct deposit was $180.76. Thus, as you can see, you did not receive a direct deposit in the amount of $734.34. The net overpayment total of $734.34 is the amount you owe Princess Cruises."

Hi, my dad past away 3 years ago and my mom never worked, so when he died (he was 46) only had 100k for her and an annuity. She spent all the money on fixing the house, like my dad wanted, and paid off all the debt they had. The annuity brings in $900 and her bills are triple that! She's financially dumb! She listens to nothing we say. She does have a job now, but only pays 5.50/hr.

She also has 2 vehicles, one leased and one on a loan, fully financed. She has come to the point of them sending the repo papers, but she pays them eventually, she asks for money from family.

Should she file for bankruptcy?

I'm interested in buying a 2005 Mustang, I can afford it with the new job I got, but the problem is I'm 17 years old, so I think the financing would have to be on my parents name or something... is there any alternative way to get this? Or should I just wait until I'm 18 so I can get a loan (in which I'm not even sure I can get).

can anyone give any suggestions on the best on line payday loan companies ? i know none of them are really great when it comes to interest but i am looking for companies who will lend you $500 or more without forwarding your information to company after company. it's been really hard to find some straight forward companies on line, please help!

I was in a financially abusive relationship for 13 yrs. I had no access to any of our bank accounts, or even to my own paychecks. The few credit cards I had prior to my marriage were included in a bankruptcy we had to file in the year 2000.

Fast forward to the present and I'm going through a nasty nasty divorce, only to find out that my ex had multiple credit cards in MY NAME (and of course he never paid them) there were utility and phone bills in my name that weren't paid either. It's horrible! My credit score is sitting at like 601. We also have a van loan on a 96 silhouette that (we) still owe $11,000 on!

I'm at a loss. How do I even begin to fix this?? I only make about $26,000 a year and almost everything I make is going just to keep a roof over our heads (my son and I).

Do creditors ever work out a deal with "innocent debtors"???

to make a really long story short, i lost my parents' digital camera. it was in my room while i was on vacation, and how we think it got lost is that my dad threw away a norstrom bag that was in my room, because he said there was trash in it, but i think the camera might've been in it. if not, i have no idea where it would be. i feel really really bad about it because im only 13, and theres no way i can replace it. my parents dont buy valuable electronics often, and the camera was REALLY nice and they used it all the time. what can i do to make it up to them or just get this guiltly feeling out of my stomach?

my digital camera wasnt working, and i was about to go to visit family and go with friends to the beach, so i put my parents camera in my room. but....my mom didnt want me to take it so i left it there and to make a long story short, never found it again. there was a gray shopping bag in my room that my dad thought was trash, but i think the camera might have been in there, so if it was, its gone for good. i couldnt remember if i'd put it in there or not. so yesterday i cleaned my room and found nothing. i feel really bad b/c it was a really nice camera and my parents used it all the time. what should i do?

We have a friend that told us just the other day that her and her husband are drowning in credit card debt. He earns a good living and they are both super cool people. But she said they pay $2500 - $3000 a month in credit card payments and have over $100,000 in balances. I honestly couldn't believe it.

My first suggestion was to consider bankruptcy, but she was 100% against it. I also heard about debt consolidation clinics. But they advise you NOT to pay your debts for months at a time, then negotiate a lower settlement so that the credit card companies can avoid writing you off as a loss. But this ROYALLY screws up your credit as you can imagine!

This situation got me and my wife thinking, as we have our fair share of credit card debt as well. So besides refinancing your house for the 5th time in 5 years, borrowing money from Aunt Edna, or making minimum payments for 60 years, what is the best way to get out of credit card debt???

I went into my branch of Countrywide in Ca yesterday and everyone was taking out their money because they said that the mortgage dept part of the bank was about to go into bankruptcy and the assets may be frozen. Cops were everywhere and alot of men in suits around. I was caught up in the moment and also took all of my money out...even though the bank is FDIC insured, I thought it may be a long time before I actually got it back so I got it now....Is the Banking system about to experience a crisis because of the bad mortgages? I was wondering where all of my deposits were being invested and it sounds like the banks used it to back mortgages...thoughts?

I was told that I had to have PPI on my loan when I took it out 4 years ago with HSBC, and the cost of the PPI on top of the loan is over £8000 plus interest - I have insurance cover and told them I didn't want ppi. Then, without telling me, they reduced my overdraft limit and I went over my limit without realising, and my outgoings were more because I was paying them back, they started to charge me fees like £120. They just took the money out of my account without written notification. I reckon they have taken over £1500 plus interest out of my account since , I'm worried I won't get this back because of the current court drama and charges being put on hold.
I've asked in person for a complete list of all charges, and have asked them to refund the ppi - but I have never done this in writing. They keep fobbing me off, and staff told me I should open a new bank account elsewhere, as they can close my account. I have done this, but am nervous of finances now. What can I do?

Has anyone used westernunion.co.uk site to send money from UK to abroad by using western union. They offer an online service where you can pay by credit/debit card.

I want to know if you pay by credit card, would it be a "cash advance" or a "purchase"?

Or how long does it take for a bank to know that the check does not have the amount mentioned ,for exemple if you make a deposit to your account with a check , can the automaticly verify if there money on that check ,if it can't immadiatly ,how long can it take to see wheter if the check have money or not ?
I wish i made myself clear.
Thanks a lot!

I just got offered a card with a 0% introductory APR for 15 months on balance transfers and purchaces and the fixed APR thereafter is much lower than what I have with my credit card now. I only have one card with a balance on it but I figured transferring it to this other card would be cheaper and make it easier for me to pay it off... so my question, will my credit score be lowered just for opening the account? I have two other accounts open already too but they both have 0 balance and haven't been used in a long time. Also, I have a really good score at the moment, so, I just wanted to know if it's a good idea...?

Hi...I have 2 credit cards. One I owe 400 dollars and the other one I own 1000 dollars. Currently I have 800 dollars to pay off. I heard if you pay your debt off, your credit would go down. So I'm thinking to pay off around 375 dollars for the $400 that I owe, leaving around 25 to 50 dollars in there. I'll pay off the rest to the other account. What do you guys think? What is the best way to pay them off? Thanks.
