I am planning to open a savings account with ing direct. and was wondering if i link it to my wellsfargo checking will I be charge a fee? i know ing would do it for free. how about wellsfargo?

It shouldn't, but the question should really be. ARE YOU SURE you want to have an ING account? (or any CD for the matter)

You're only getting 5% a year for letting them hold your money. Why not keep it yourself and save up some more (or invest a little risk for a more reasonable return).

It's not likely that Wells Fargo would charge you a fee.

BTW:
I like www.GMACBank.com better than ING;
Better rates.
ATM Card (with fee rebates).
More choices for electronic transfers.
