My brother opened up a Schwab custodial account for his son, before he and his wife were divorced, but now she is claiming she "wants to make deposits" into the account herself and therefore needs ownership. Is this true? This woman can't handle her money and is notorious for burning through every dollar within reach, no matter whose money it is.

You need to take command and know your rights. Women have abused men as much as men abused women. I am for rights for Men too because I am a female and men and women whould be punished for crimes! ERA was never passed because women ruled that ammendment . In 1920 women were allowed to vote, but they went too far and not allowed men to be part of ERA! Men and Women need the same rights and that is why ERA never became law. The Fathers of Children need to have a good Father and no mind games on innocent children.. I am in a relationship with both kids on both sides and we love them all equally. Both sides of kids are treated equal and with love. I love my extended FAMILY!!!! More LOVE to go around. PS I have 2 new step Grand babies and I love them. Get a good atty and you provide a good home and income and you will be OK!

You do not need ownership to make deposits. Ownership entitles you to withdraw funds. Sounds like she is looking for money to spend. Good Luck to your brother.
