Ok my husband and I have had some major financial set backs these last two weeks and the phone company and cable company said they are going to disconnect it tomorrow. I will have the money on Tuesday but they will not wait does anyone have any suggestions as to what to do? I know I should pay my bills on time but we have had some major set backs. I have to have the internet because I take online classes right now. Any suggestions would be great.

problems like this did not just fall out of the sky -- might be a wake up call for you two -- you can do with out the phone as far as the internet go to the library or to a friend and use there until you can save up a few months to get reconnected and then only do it if you have downsized your life style so you can pay your bills on time!!!

It sounds like your financial problems have been building for a lot longer than the past two weeks if your phone and internet are getting cut off. Those bills must be more than just the current month.
You should re-examine your spending habits. Do you have all those extra fee services on your phone, like call waiting, line maintenance, etc? Get rid of all of it and you'll save about $20 per month. Dial up may be slow but you can get it free (limited hours) or for $10 (unlimited).
You could pawn something to get the cash to stay connected.

If you call the companies up, they will most likely extend the date. I know a few people that have done it before.

If the money is a sure thing, then send them a check by time they receive it and deposit it in their bank you will have the money in yours. Done it many times, works best if you are absolutely positive the money will come in!!

IF the Internet is shut down you can use the library for free to take your classes.

Have a garage sale for some quick cash.
Don't go to a cash advance place whatever you do. They charge outrageous fees and it would not be worth it to you.

borrow some $$ quick or pawn some valuables and wire them the $$ or go in and pay cash..
