I worked inside the industry untill I could not stand it no longer, I seen how bad it was for people to get out, and how meetings were held to think of better ideas to keep customers, get the old ones back in, and keep them stuck it makes me sick, know your rights, if you need help in colorado, call the state att general, or ask.

I'm new to credit cards.

I was always under the assumption that paying the full amount that you put on your credit card that month, at the end of every month (right before the due date) was the smart thing to do for your credit card. Which is exactly what I've been doing for the 5 or 6 months since I got my first card.

My friend told me she'd been told differently -- that to leave a small portion of each month's balance over and pay it off more slowly. She said this is good for your credit score.

So which is right? Thanks.

I'm curious to see what rate I would get on a car loan but wanted to make sure it doesn't affect my credit score. I heard auto loan and mortgage credit checks don't show up on your report (thus bringing down your score). Is this true?

My credit report has been messed up for years. There are a few collections on my credit that I have cleared up and proven that they were not mine and successfully had them removed. A new debt collector buys this old account and puts it back on my report. I have paid my bills on time for over a year and have lowered my balances significantly. I have been studying and reading about improving your credit like crazy for the past year. I am sick of sending a certified letter and fighting them every few months. I believe my score should be much higher, but it has only gone up about 50-60 points. The credit agency's tell me that they do not re-score. There is a extreme difference with all three agency's and my scores. Please help. I am going to need a car loan soon, and don't want to suffer a high interest rate for a account with voice stream that was never ever mine! (they also keep changing my birthday by one year.) Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't want the house, but I don't want to walk away with my name on it, he is already messing up my credit. I've had to max out my credit cards because he doesn't help with the bills like he should. He drives a truck, doesn't come by the house much which is fine, but he takes out what he wants to play and gamble and sends what's left which sometimes isn't much. I work two jobs, and I'm trying to get caught up enough to get out of this situation, but I need a break. Help wht can I do?

My boyfriend got a letter stating that some changes were being made to his account (it gave him the last four digits of the account). Thing is he has never banked with them before. Is this a scam or a case of identity theft?

I have 3 credit cards:

A) This credit card is pretty much maxed out with a limit of $400

B) This card has a limit of $2,000, and I owe $1,500

C) This card has a limit of $500, and I owe about $350

I've stopped using my cards and I pay more than the minimum every month...I usually try to at least add on the finance charge to the minimum.

I'm in good standing on all of my cards and have pretty fair credit for a 20 y/o. I would like to get my balances down and paid off.

What card should I pay extra on? The one that is close to the limit of $400, the one which is over $1000, or the one that only has about $350 owed?

I hope this makes sense and I hope you guys can help. Thanks!

My fiancee and I have approximately $30,000 in credit card debt (mostly his). He thinks that we should pay off all that debt and put a smaller down payment down on a home, rather than using all our money for the down payment. I argued that we should not worry TOO much about the credit card debt and take care of it another way, such as re-financing our mortgage in several years and using that cash to pay off the credit card debt (since the interest rate would be much lower). Any suggestions?

1- First my question is how long does it takes for Judgement to fall off from your Credit in Oklahoma & Texas.

2- If Judgement falls off of the credit then does the credit jumps up afterwords?

3- If the delinquency & Judgement falls off after 7 years. does is make the credit look like brand new credit , with no activity for 7 years?.

4- HOw long does a creditor have to enforce the judgement.

Ive been trying to clean up my credit. Im now in a very good position financially but due to previous mistakes in my youth, my credit score was not very good. I went to apply for financing for a car at a dealership last week when my credit score was 580. They found a bank that approved me but only for $8000. I thought, well gotta start somewhere.
Anyway im setup with myFICO scorewatch and today i get an alert that says my credit score went up and now its 639. Im wondering if i should just let it be or should i reapply now and see if i can get a higher approval amount and a better interest rate?
