I have a few questions on loans. First off, what is the legal age to apply for a loan? What do banks look at? What would you realilistically have to be making to be able to afford a 80k house loan? Thanks, feel free to include more information then what I have asked, I have no idea where to start.

I have been turned down back after back on credit cards and loans because I don't have any credit. I don't know anyone with good standing to co-sign for me.

I have recently started a savings account, but my bank doesn't have a secured credeit card, so I don't know what else to do.

How can you build credit, if you can't a loan or a rcredit card.

They claim that they can improve your credit score 100-200 points in as little as 180 days. Their website seems real and I have talked face to face with real people but am skeptical. Looking for "real" people who amy have real-life experience with this company.

Just some background info: I've never had any problems with the card and have always been on good terms with them in terms of my monthly payments. Now my card is expiring and they have sent me a new card to activate but I'm thinking about not activating it so that I may get a better card with a much higher credit line and better incentives. So technically I'm not even canceling...I'm just not renewing (I guess?). Will this effect my credit at all? Thanks for your help.

For example when you're shopping around for a car the salesperson always wants to run your credit to see your score and i heard that if your credit gets screened a lot it lowers the score. is that true?

Im 21 years old and my husband is living in another country and of course i have spent a lot going back and forth, well on credit cards. i have 3 of them, one is $3200, next $1100, and last $500. I work for children services, its a government agency and i love my work but I don't get paid enough, only $400 a month. When I do get paid its past the date the payments are due. So im always late or there are times I don't pay. I'm ruining my credit, what can i do so I can only have one payment for all of them and does anyone know of a fast way to get money, i really need help.

My husband and I have three credit cards. We only use one of them and we use it sparingly. My question is, is it okay for us to close the accounts for the two we don't use? Could closing the accounts hurt our credit? Thanks for your advice! (By the way, none of these cards have annual fees.)

I cancelled my (UK)credit card in March this year, having paid off all the balance. Then out of the blue a few weeks ago I received a bill for £140 on the cancelled card. This turned out to be payment for a home insurance policy with direct line which I had also cancelled (two years ago!). Direct Line have admitted fault and I am awaiting a refund. Unfortunately they cannot refund the card because it no longer 'exists' since I cut it up. So I am still waiting for a cheque. However, the issue remains with the credit card. Do they have the right to make a payment from a cancelled credit agreement, even if, originally, the premium was renewable annually? Surely if I have canclled the card they should refuse payment to any creditors who present for payment, and refer them back to the customer? Did the credit card company act illegally? Can I refuse to pay?

I am on a business tour to another country. While i was out on a weekend, i lost my wallet and it had credit card, that was issued by my company. Unfortunately, i had written the password on a small piece of paper and kept in my wallet too. Although it was not so obvious that it was the pin code of the account but someone
was able to make and made a transaction of 900euros.
In this case can i get money back from the card people ?

It seems that black people have terrible credit (in general). All of my black friends have credit scores in the 600's or lower. All my asian and white friends are above 700, usually 750's (except a few). Why does it seem that black people tend to neglect credit, and never repay back? is this seen as an opportunity to fast cash, without foreseeing the disaster and havoc it may wreak upon their credits?

Is it just a cultural thing, that black people percieve themselves as deprived, and therefore take advantage of $500 credit offers, only to mess up their score? Do all young black kids have to life as ghetto superstars? If your black, this is not to offend you, but im merely stating the general trends that I see. Answers from blacks, preferably young are wanted. Thanks
