I am on a business tour to another country. While i was out on a weekend, i lost my wallet and it had credit card, that was issued by my company. Unfortunately, i had written the password on a small piece of paper and kept in my wallet too. Although it was not so obvious that it was the pin code of the account but someone
was able to make and made a transaction of 900euros.
In this case can i get money back from the card people ?

If you report it missing right away your liability is limited as others have said. However, if you wait to report the card missing, the limits do not apply to charges that would have been prevented had you reported the card missing sooner.

Yes, just make sure you file a police report and that you contact the credit card issuer within the first 48 hours or you could be liable for some of the unauthorized transactions.

First of all did you report it stolen right away? If you reported it lost maybe not. There is a rule out there that if you report it stolen right away you are only liable for like the first 50 dollars, or something close to that.(I am trying to remember all this off the top of my head, sorry) If you wait longer you may have to pay those charges. I would check with your credit company right away!

If its a VISA or MASTERCARD, they have automatic credit protection against fraudulent transactions. All you have to do is report it to your company, or the company that issued the credit and report a claim. As long as you tell them your story completely they should repress these credits. I also believe this coverage is worldwide, but you should check.
