I went to buy groceries and I swiped my card and signed but the cashier said I needed to do it again. I asked her to make sure I wasn't charged twice. I got one receipt. I got online and looked at my account to find I am over my limit by a small amount but still over my limit and that will cost me a big fee and mess up my interest rate. I emailed the credit card company about it but won't hear back for 48 hours. I called the store and they gave my anumber to call and they are closed till tomorrow. Is there anyway to get this cleared off my card. I didn't go over my limit and don't want to be penalized for something the cashier messed up.

I need some major help!!! When I was 16 I visited to my local city college campus for lunch. While their a women approached me and ask me if I wanted a free tshirt. I said sure and she said all I needed to do was fill out a credit card application. I did and a little while later I got several credit cards in the mail so I started using them and making payments. Well I got in over my head and eventually couldnt keep up with the payments. I contacted a local credit counseling agency for help and they said they couldnt help me because I was a minor and could of not legally incurred this debt and to send copies of my birth certificate and id to the credit card companies and the credit bureaus. I did this meanwhile I was charged too many fees to count and the balances skyrocketed. Several years later this is ruining my life I dont know what to do or how to do it.

I am trying to rebuild my credit score. I have a couple charge offs from 3-4 years ago, and I am wondering if it would be more beneficial to pay them off, or to just drive on as I am. I have heard that if you start making payments of delinquent accounts that it lowers your score, and that is my fear. I just bought my car, and don't plan on getting another one for some time, and I plan on buying a house in 5-6 years. How should I go about this?

I really dont understand the average time of my credit history. I had one credit card for 27 months now, one 12 months and 3 for 14 months. How long does that make my credit history? Is that good enough to apply for a major credit card like Discover or the American Express Blue? My fico score is 740. Or do I need to at least have 5 years of credit history?

I have written letters, sent in documentation over and over again and have not been able to get items removed from my credit file. Many things are not mine, information is plain wrong even my birthday and still I cannot get them changed or removed. I pay my bills on time but due to all this bad stuff... for years and years... I cannot get a good credit score or even get credit. Some of the big things are an IRS report of a paid lien dating back to 1989 under my ex-husband's ss#. Another are medical bills owed by my ex. And also a foreclosure and I have not ever had a foreclosure! I did get a bankrupcy removed by being in a class action law suit. I have never filed for bankrupcy. Help Please. This is so unfair!

This is for a credit card account I stopped paying a year ago. They have called my parents' home (I don't live there) and told them what was going on. They revealed personal details about the account. At this time I don't have money to pay or offer a settlement. I have no assets. They keep callming my parents' house and sending threatening letters. Can anyone offer advise?
