www.annualcreditreport.com
This is the official website created by the three major credit reporting agencies (TransUnion, Equifax, and Experian). The other site mentioned above is not a website, when I tried to check it out there was no page found. Whatever you do, do NOT try to get one from freecreditreport.com, they will contact you by phone and try to sell you crap (this I know from my own personal experience).

This is easy. The credit reporting company is obligated to give you a free credit report once a year. They don't do it easily. There is an easier way. When you call them tell them you are looking for a job, and your prospective employer is liable to run a credit report. They have to (by law) send you a copy. It doesn't matter if you got one 6 months ago. They have to. BTW, if an job offer came in for Bill Gates old job, would you take it? I think that means you ARE looking for a job....?

Yes, the first person is right.
However, if you want a copy of the report for yourself make sure you access the site somewhere that there is a printer.
You are only able to access your report one time per year and most of the bureaus do not give a password for future use so if you don't print it out the first time you look at it, you won't be able to see it again.
