All so that managemnt can get a bigger bonus when they give it to everyone? If your employer was doing this ,would'nt you be thinking of an way to get out of that enviroment?Or start looking for a better job?
Not to mention the A/C turns the place into muggy place instead of keeping employers and customers cool while shopping or working.

When asked your salary requirements how should you respond when there is going to be a set salary anyways? It seems like a pointless question to ask to me but I know I'll be asked.

Recently, my company hired a new person for the division I worked for. Before she even started, she changed her title from "administrator" to "manager." Technically, she is not my supervisor, but rather a colleague, although she is higher up than me (there are only 2 of us in our division- it's a small company). Since she began work last week, she has been trying to micro manage me, treats me like I'm an idiot, and basically is trying to upstage me. Just recently, she asked (via email) for a copy of my resume. I find that odd, because she did not cc: our COO (our boss), and I have no idea why she would want it. Does that seem weird to anyone else???? I don't trust this woman, at a welcoming party for her where we were handing out treats, she asked if I wanted to "serve her" or did I want to just pass it to her. I could be paranoid, but there have been a number of things that have made me put up my guard.

I've been a professional driver for over 3 years. Two years as a trucker, one year as a bus driver (school and mass transit). I have over 100,000 miles in heavy vehicles without an accident or ticket. My personal driving record is spotless too.
I started working for another bus company. I spent 3 weeks in "training" where Spent two weeks listening to corporate BS and in the third week, I drove about 2 hours & they said move on to the 2nd phase of training.
I don't know why, but I can do no right with this person. No matter what I do, I'm wrong. I'm a damn good driver. All the other students on the bus can't figure out why this guy is so hard on me. I'm doing everything well, even when this raging lunatic doesn't give directions (I have no idea where we are going & I'm not allowed to find out beforehand). He suspended me for 3 days. Next Wednesday he's going to "give it to me good, then fire me".
This person is sick. He talks about killing puppies and deer and eating cats and horses.

I have a second interview for a job I am very excited about. Does this mean that they are really interested in me or would they bring me in if they weren't interested? I don't want to get my hopes up. During the first interview he seemed to be very interested and I got a good vibe.

I'm currently 7 months pregnant--due on Labor day. Remember this.

When I was a senior in college, I had my son. I took a month off (doctor's orders) and finished the semester with 15 hours and a 4.0. The next semester I was an intern at a local Special Olympics and loved it. They loved me.

Now they have a job available, and I KNOW that I would be able to at least get an interview with them. I excelled at this internship, and they often mentioned that their past interns did nothing but play around on the computer while I really made differences in their fundraising. It was said I brought the largest sponsors to the table in the 4 years my supervisor had been there.

That being said, I'm 7 months pregnant. Right now I'm doing fine--the hypertension they said I had has gone away without medication and there's no diabetes. I do, however, look 7 months pregnant.

The question is this: do I have a shot?

In other words, I want the honest truth: if you were in their shoes...

Do I suck?
I currently make around 75k, have 125k in the stock market, own 3 rental properties and have 30k in cash and am in my early 20's. Rental Properties generate an additional 60k in taxable income. Plus another 3-5k in dividend income. Other kids my age are buying jet skis and every expensive toy they see. Do I suck? I dream of owning my own business some day after getting several years in the corporate world and being free from the rat race. Based on my total assets will I need a pre-nup to? I never want to lose them through a gold-digging hoe bag. I do love women just dont want cut everthing I have done in half.

Currently I work at a company that makes smoothies. I am very discontent because they pay only about 50 cents more than the minimum wage. As a college student I think that it is unfair. Do you think college students deserve to get paid more?

In other words, what wording or phrases should be in the body of the email? Should I remain as ultra-professional as my cover letter (ie. Dear Ms. Brown:) or is business casual acceptable (Ms. Brown,)? Or even casual yet professional (Kathy,). The below is what I normally put in the email, but I am just not sure. Any ideas? How long/short should it be? What should be included? What should be left out?

Dear Hiring Manager (if name is unknown, otherwise Dear Ms. Brown):

The following attachment is for the Administrative opportunity at your company. I have over five years of experience and am anxious to hear more about your organization! I appreciate your consideration, and hope I have the opportunity to speak with you further. Thank you.

I have been working for only a week and a half and i already hate my job.
My boss is a jerk and is constantly barking orders at me and she falsely accussed me of doing things and saying things that I have not done. Plus, last night I ended up working 2 more hours than I was suppossed to, while she just sat on her butt doing nothing. I even ended up doing her job!

I have been turned down for too many jobs because I have poor credit. When did this become the norm? Is is just Colorado or all over? I can't understand why credit is now a factor. Should it really matter that I have poor credit for a job at Walmart, or a call center? I am highly experienced and qualify for all positions I apply for, and pass testing with flying colors if required. Its really depressing.
After I was turned down for the first 10 jobs or so because of "a negative consumer report", I found out that the employer who denies you the job because of this reason is required to provide you a copy of the consumer report they used. I have not been successful in obtaining any of these from any of the jobs I applied for.
Does anyone have input on this issue or experienced similar problems? I know cleaning up my credit would help. But how can I do that if I don't have the income because I can't get a job because of my poor credit?

I am applying for jobs. A person who googles my name will see that I gave $100.00 dollars to John Kerry in 2004.

I would prefer that my political affiliation not be so easily found out. I would not like to be denied a job I might have gotten if the guy reviewing my application were not a Bush supporter.
What can be done? Nothing I suppose. It's public record when you give to a campaign. I'm not ashamed of giving to Kerry, just being practical.
