I have a second interview for a job I am very excited about. Does this mean that they are really interested in me or would they bring me in if they weren't interested? I don't want to get my hopes up. During the first interview he seemed to be very interested and I got a good vibe.

If they weren't interested, they wouldn't bring you back ...

But it isn't a "slam dunk" either - usually they want to bring back top 3 candidates.

Make sure you are READY! and know something about the company.

Best of luck!

Sounds promising. I got my current job on the second interview. However, don't be disappointed if there's a third or even a fourth interview. Some companies go through a long process to hire the right person.

Good luck!

Second interview means you past the first phase of the interview process. Yes, this is a very good sign but please keep in mind you were not the only person selected to come in for a second round. This would mean you would have to outshine the other candidates that were called in as well for this round. I am sure you will do great.

2nd interview means you made the first cut. It's like getting on a sports team. They'll lob some more questions at you, run you through a test or hypothetical scenario, and see if they were really right about asking you back. Plus it gives more higher up people to see the "cream". Meaning a lower person weeded you out, now you are up to see the next level on the totem pole.

if you got invited back for a 2nd interview, then chances are good that..

A. you got the job
B. they had a huge application pool and whittled down the applicants to a select few that will interview with someone else within the company.

either way, good luck to you
