Do I suck?
I currently make around 75k, have 125k in the stock market, own 3 rental properties and have 30k in cash and am in my early 20's. Rental Properties generate an additional 60k in taxable income. Plus another 3-5k in dividend income. Other kids my age are buying jet skis and every expensive toy they see. Do I suck? I dream of owning my own business some day after getting several years in the corporate world and being free from the rat race. Based on my total assets will I need a pre-nup to? I never want to lose them through a gold-digging hoe bag. I do love women just dont want cut everthing I have done in half.

You'd better get the pre-nup . You sound as though you're well on your way to financial independence . I don't think that sucks , I think you are an exception to a rule but in a good way .

When you are dating to find someone to marry don't just go to bars, go to church and find a woman of character. Never ever advertise your wealth or any of your business. Don't rush into any relationship much less marriage. Not every woman is a gold digger, you need to find someone who has a heart of gold and who proves her honesty time and time again. Now for the bad news. Even if you can get the best looking chics, they might still be kinda shallow, in fact if a girl is more into her purses and shoes and clothes than helping people, it's a very bad sign. Dude, you want someone who is a very loving and kind person. Oh yes and it helps if you are the same way.

After you have been dating for a while, say a few months, you might tell her that you are going to have to go bankrupt because of some financial disaster, see if she will stay by your side and have dates like staying home and cooking together.

If you hang in there and don't rush anything the right girl will show up, after all what you are really saying is that once you settle down you want that to be it forever, so it's totally worth it not to rush things. Do not get hung up on the girl with the prettiest face or body, you have to approach this very methodically after all she is going to be the mother of your children. Like I said there is absolutely no rush.

DEFINITELY get a pre-nup!!..but, if your 125K is in separate stocks, forget it!! you should have your money in mutual funds that deal in large cap, mid cap, and small cap funds..at your age you can afford to ride out the ups and downs of the market, but individual stocks (if that's what you have) are WAY to much fuss and bother..and hopefully you don't have a broker doing it for you..waste of money!!!!! ALSO you should not have that much in cash ( I assume you mean money market? hopefully not in a bank account!!)..If I were you, I'd put the money from the rentals into even MORE stock funds!! & don't forget to put at least 10% into gold stock funds......(never hurts!).By all means you do not 'suck'..you sound like a guy with a good head on his shoulders....let your friends do & buy what they want!! your future is more assured and secure than theirs will ever be!!...by the way, for your 75K, try this spending plan: it really works: 50% for necessities, 30% to spend any way you want, and 20% to save/invest....you can also 'tweak' it so you spend 20% and save/inveset 30%...try it!!!!!! you will always be able to enjoy yourself yet know you have enough for saving/necessities..Good luck..Please email me if you have any questions about any of this..I am newly retired at 65, but didn't start my retirement planning until I was 40!! a little late, but it all worked out ok as I dd my homework!!

As for professionally you certainly do not suck. Looks like you are better on track then most young men.

However, as a man considering a relationship with any woman, you clearly do suck. Looking at your attitude toward women and the words you use to describe them you probably will not attact a decent woman. Water usually finds it's mark and I think you wll find yours.

In fact if any of my daughters or girlfreinds brougth you home I would advise them to run. Women look for security. A home where they can raise their children, the financial security to know they can keep their children clothed and fed. You could certainly do that but another thing is emotional security and I think any woman with you would find herself living in an emotional desert.

Stay single.

If what you claim is true ? ( how did you make all that money in such a short time ) ???. Anyway, if that is true, no you don't suck, but some things are more important than money. As long as you can balance things and NOT be greedy and NOT live only for money you should do fine. It sounds to me like you need to lighten up a bit. With the money you are making you will be fine financially, but to have a happy life you need to put money second.

This is a very laughable question and I will try to answer anyway.

You do suck because you are sorely missing in the most important part of life, which is creating your own family.

You do not suck because you have made strides and moves in your life to maintain yourself financially.

Answering this question yourself is what will determine the answer. If you do not care about family then you are in good shape, but guess what? Ten years from now you are going to look back and question it all. I won't say whether or not your answers will be good and you will be happy, but until you do it all, you will look back and be unfulfilled.

congrats on your ambition. you should be equally intelligent with your selection of women. don't choose a gold digger. a pre-nup might not be a bad idea, but if you're lucky enough to find your true soul mate, you won't care.
