All so that managemnt can get a bigger bonus when they give it to everyone? If your employer was doing this ,would'nt you be thinking of an way to get out of that enviroment?Or start looking for a better job?
Not to mention the A/C turns the place into muggy place instead of keeping employers and customers cool while shopping or working.

This is a balancing act. If an employer has too many people working at once, while it may make the work load easier, it cuts into profits. (believe it or not that is why most business's are there to begin with) If not enough people are scheduled, then you end up with stressed out employees and reduced customer service. The A\C not working properly should be brought to the manager, or owners attention, if they care enough about their store, they will get it fixed. About the scheduling, it is hard in some places to get just the right number of people working at the right times. They need a sales analysis program to determine when their busiest times are likeliest to occur.

If you feel your being treated UNFAIRLY in the work place you need to contact I think its 'osha' ask for an employee hanbook .Or look for signs hanging IN the breakroom.Noone should work over 40 hours a week and not be getting a 15 min break every 8 hr shift. As far as the air Im not sure BUT at least you have it.Jobs are hard to find and managment is that way everywhere unless your your own boss. You could get another job and be happier go for it!

Usually the big companies are understaffed and they do this on purpose. They want you to work more and to work late, to work on weekends. Did you know that 30% of the people didn't get any vacation in the last 3 years?
Well, this is statistics. If a project can be done by 5 people, they hire 3 and overload them.

Turnover is bad for companies. If their treatment of employees creates people leaving, it's bad because it costs money to hire, train and replace people.
