I am a marketeer in a large MNC. Want to explore options in an NGO/Developmental sector. Am looking at organizations which are involved in micro-lending/ VC's which help entrepreneurs set up and run businesses. My understanding is that a lot of these organizations would need marketing/sales skills to be imparted to potential entrepreneurs, which is where I can fit in.

I need to understand the scope of this kind of work. I also want to know websites/ organizations that I can contact with regard to future employment.

My nonprofit focuses on the preservation of indigenous cultures and the environment worldwide. I have no funding nor any money to create a website. I want to create interest from the outside community and involvement for my organization as well as financial support.

If you are told by your boss, "Don't let people push your around. If there's such things going on, then send them to me. It's my job to handle wrangling (and political conflicts)." I tend to display weak personality.
I've just completed probationary period and have become a regular at this job.
Being told something like this, should you take this as a waring or just consider it as a need to improve myself?
(I am an IT persona at a city government)

Little (like pennies on the dollar) actually going to the cause? I'd prefer responses with sources rather than straight opinions.

does anyone here know? you see we are trying to have out paintball club here at college recognized as a non-profit, as a private foundation to be more exact, and almost everything is being put on hold until we get the reply.

My members would like to have some idea since most of the benefits are coming from having a non-profit status.

I am in search for a government job but have no college degree. I have a ton of professional work experience doing this and that along with a few college courses taken. What is the best place to start and what am I qualified for? I live in West Virginia, about an hour from the DC area. My mom works for the government and said they have a temp agency they go through. Any ideas? Thank you.

its there any job that fits this description or comes close to it??? i am 21, male, i attend a very prestigious university in U.S (ivy league school), my GPA is stellar, i would say people describe me as intelligent, inquisitive, friendly, cautious, i enjoy working with others although i prefer working alone sometimes, i can keep secrets, i can control/hide/ or hold back my emotions, i like to be around people, i like to travel, see different places meet different people, i also prefer a job paying decent money (more than 80K starting or after 1-2 yrs work expericen), i can control my stress level, i always work hard towards a goal and get the job done, wheter it be sacrificing time, friends, or leisure activity, i like math and science, i love physical activity and would rather go out and do something rather than stay put to an office desk

I want to start a non-profit organization to refurbish old school buildings or old apartment buildings to make livable spaces for families that need somewhere to live while they are trying to further thier education. (either college or some type of training program).

I have known many people who just didn't go to any training after highschool because they couldnt afford to pay the bills, eat, & have enough time for studies afterwards. I want to beable to give them cheaper living space so they can acieve a higher level of living. (example: husband goes to college full time while wife works part-time and takes care of kids). I would charge rent at a reduced rate & that money would go back into the program.

I just dont know how to get the start up funds to refurbish the first building. I know plenty of people who would help with the labor, but no one is able to help finacially. Any advice?
