Hey I have an interview for an internship with this company that has a federal site. The job description says "This position requires onsite work at restricted federal government facilities and as a result, U.S. Citizenship is a requirement of the job." I would be a business/systems(operations) Engineering Intern for them. I was just wondering what kind of security clearance I would expect to get? confidential? or Secret? thanks again for any insight.

I don't like being the one who actually talks to people, but I love listening to other people having conversations and figuring out their lives. I love finding information that is hard to find. I love writing. I love studying politics and government. I want to have a degree that I can do many different things and I want to be able to do a job that is in demand. I don't want to think outside the box... I just want to find facts that are pretty much black and white. I don't care about making a ton of money and I don't care about recognition or social status or anything.... I just care about actually having a job and I would like to have a degree where I can choose to either travel or stay in one place and a job that pays the billss

Just curious. Are they hired part-time to only work the early morning and mid-afternoons and the occasional field trips? Or, are they salaried and have other duties when they're not driving schoolkids around?

I'm part way through a deployment here in Iraq with the United States Army. I want to go to college after we return to the US but I am not sure how I would get accepted into a school or go about enrolling. I graduated High School in 2004 and never planned on going to college and now I want to get a degree so after I am done in the Army I have something I can do career wise. I'm looking at wanting to teach High School level History. If anyone can help this soldier with this issue I will be very thankfull.

I want to help people get control of their finances. I think the best way to do this would be working with a nonprofit agency((open to other suggestions)). BUT I can't find any! I am willing to do this as a volunteer. FYI: I live in South Florida so something down here would be good.

We are new, have done two outstanding jobs for the Forest Service and WDFW with excellent letters of recommendation and thanks. How do I get people interested in donating and becoming involved? I can't seem to get any hits on our website, and have listed it with all the search engines. I need a miracle so we can geth back out there and do it again! What do I do?

The briefing given was -
===============================
You will be asked to give a short presentation(5-10mins) on a subject of your choosing. This can be on anything at all . We are not looking for people to demonstrate an ability to design and deliver training, merely to get the opportunity to hear you speak in front of others about a topic you are passionate about and take questions on this from the panel if asked.

You can choose any method you like to conduct your presentation, however you will not be able to use power point or any IT equipment.

The job I am applying for is within the civil service, and I am completely stuck on this ! Any help anyone can offer would be great !

If business trips have to be taken around the globe, will they be paid for by the gov't? Also, do you have a say as to where you're willing to travel to?

I am very passionate about starting a non profit organization for victims of abusive family members. I will do this, but do not know the first thing about how to go about it. I did some research and learned that I can try to find a fiscal sponsor to help with the startup costs. I learned that I need to find one that is somewhat similar to the type I am starting. I don't know what that is or where to begin.

I graduate this June with a BA in Women's Studies and minor in Psychology. I'm going to grad school in late Sept but I wanted to work in social services or non-profit for the summer. I live in Dayton, but I'm willing to travel as far south as cincy and as far north as columbus. Any ideas on where to look or who's hiring. I've tried monster and idealist.org and stuff like that but nothing really.

I am of the opinion that state government jobs will always be around. You always hear about states trying to trim their budgets and cutting funding to programs, etc. but it still seems like a safer line of employment to be in than any type of job that can potentially be outsourced to India or China. It even seems like airline pilots face an uncertain future as planes may eventually fly themselves. Newspapers are facing a crisis as people get their news from other sources and several national papers are expected to eleminate their book sections in the near future. At least in a state job you have job security and are guaranteed a pension, right?
