Contrary to popular belief, Job Corps is NOT for bad people. It is for people ages 16-24 who need or would like training in an area of interest. Most Job Corps offer standard "trades", such as CNA, culinary arts, administrative, etc. Through Job Corps, you can also recieve your GED and a drivers license if you don't already have one. It is a self paced program so you learn however fast you want to, with a maximum of a 2 year stay. Depending on which Job Corps center you choose, you may stay in a dorm or if you live close to one you can be a "day student". If you live on campus you may have up to 3 roomates, and you will all share the chores of keeping the room neat on a daily basis. Job Corps are located throughout the country, and where you live will determine which job corps centers you can go to.

Please feel free to email me and I can tell you more about job corps and which ones are in your area.

I am a Professional who work with Domestic and Global Academics. While its not said openly, No one wants to hire a Job Corp Graduate, because Job Corp has the worst Reputation in the Job industry. You will almost never get hired by any good paying company with a Job Corp Diploma. You might have a better chance of getting a fake Diploma to get a job than Job Corps Diploma..Thats just how It is.... I would never recommend anyone go to Job Corp.. We run a Clinic and we d never hire someone from Job Corp

job corps is not for bad people its for young adults to better themselves the people with negative comments are usually people who are looking from a far and don't really no. I think it would be a good opportunity for u to get your GED or a trade that u can use and they help u with that, they also have an incentive of when u finish the program they give u money to start your life of looking for a job or whatever u plan on doing so research it a little and go for it!

It is for bad kids like high school dropouts. They help you get your GED, and train you for some crappy job like, car repair or something like that.
