I have to quit my current job immediately in order to take advantage of an opportunity that I was chosen for out of 50 people for, and just got on Friday night. The job is in a completely different field, but in a year I'll be making double of what I'm making now, and I will enjoy going to work for sure. How do I smooth my resignation over and not look bad? What should I say?

Im planning to go to medical school next fall, but I couldnt help thinking, is college worth it for the average person from a financial perspective. Yes it is necessary for certain jobs, doctor, lawyer, etc. College can easily cost about $125,000 for four years plus room and board. Most people have to take out loans for this which means they actually pay more than this. If they had just gotten a government job say w/ the post office, they would have saved this $125,000, or more. Been able to make close to $100,000 working for the four years rather than in school. So it looks like college can actually cost you around 225,000 in theory. Especially for the parents who have the money to pay for their kids college. Wouldnt they be better off investing that 100,000-150,000 for their kids and letting their kids get a job w/o a degree. That money will probably be close to 1 million dollars within 20-25 years, right?

My dad works at UPS and he has one eye. They won't let him drive a UPS truck because of it. My dad is a really good driver and has never had a wreck in his 20 years of driving. My mom and dad have filed many lawsuits, but all of them were denied. What do you think?

I have an employee who is always "mouthing off" to me and his co-workers. No one likes him. Unfortunately, he is hardly absent or late and his performance is satisfactory. My other managers would like to see him fired. Any advice how I could coach this employee to success? This is a union shop.

I lost my job about 2 months ago and even though i made a payment to which wasn't the full amount, (about 180) short and told them id pay them the rest next week. I still got a note on my door saying they forward it to their lawyers.

rent is due by the 1st, if they dont have it by the 15th they send it to lawyers. Do they reallly do that or are they just tryin to scare me?

The letter said it was a cost of 290 to hire their lawyers and I have to pay that so what do I do, even if i pay them what i owe them do i still owe the 290 and can i get kicked out for that?
