I guess it would depend on what the two jobs are. I went through the same thing and my solution was both !!!!! They wanted me to be a doctor I wanted to be a writer. I thought about it and realisticly being a writer when you start out doesn't pay much but being a doctor pays more than well. So now I chose to eventually to get a MD in psyciatry and while I'm in school (and continue after) to work on my writting.
I hope it helps a bit in making up your mind.

Tough question, no one is going to be able to answer it for you. How passionate are you about the dream job? Do you have any interest in the job your parents want you to take.
It's your life, so you have to make the decision on it. Your parents love you and only want the best for you. Sit down with them and have an intelligent discussion about it. If you are still in school, talk to the guidance counselors, that's what they are there for.
I hope you make the right decision, and you have a wonderful life.

If your dream job is available to you, how can you not take it?
The only reason not to is if your dream job pays no money and you still need support from your parents.

Follow your heart. If you take the job your parents want you to take, you will have regrets for not following your dream.

Do whatever you WANT to do. It's your life, and your decision. Both of my brothers did exactly what my parents told them to do, and they ended up losing their jobs, because they didn't like their jobs that much. Me, I am going to follow my dreams. I want to be an actress. Well, I hope this helps. Email me if you need any questions! Buhbye!

You need to do what YOU want you to do. This is your life, not your parents.
If you follow what your parents want you to do then you may feel bitter at them and they may also regret it later on. Follow your heart.
