Happiness is always based on money if you want something you can get it and it makes you happy. If you want to help the homeless you can donate and that would make you happy you can bye people gifts and have all the things you want. Then why are people still sad?

Money actually buys satisfaction not necessarily happiness. To some money could be a burden and the fact that to stay happy you have to have money can cause concern and sadness itself.

You make a good point, but It not really the money y u r happy, it's more the people. Like donating, you give it to some 1. Without that person, you wouldn't b happy. Or giving people gifts, without that person recieving the gift, you wouldn't be doing anything but giving a nice gift to no one. That's why it is the people who make you happy, not the $$

I think the key to happiness is wanting what you have not having what you want. You may feel money will buy happiness because you dont have all the money you think you need but perhaps if you did you would find life wanting in some other way...love or friendship perhaps. Say you did have enough money to help all the homeless and then found that they used the money you gave to support drug habits. You might feel used & unhappy.

Money really doesn't buy happiness. Things fade. There are a million other ways that you can give to others. Although money is important in everyday tasks, its not everything. It is more fulfilling to give using your own talents, taking time to listen and understand another, etc. If money can truly buy happiness, there wouldn't be so many rich people who are miserable.

Because it's a lie! Money, or love of money, is pure evil. What's more important, and enjoyable, is living life on your terms. Rich men marry pretty, poor women because they can and they like the eye candy: not always because there will be a tremendously awesome lifestyle to look forward to. So, which one is happy?

The one who did the buying or the one bought?

...i know money buys happiness...I had a shitty 9-5 job and I was getting sick and tired of it...so I got into club promoting and I make $500-$1800 a show, so multiply that times 4 shows a month...thats over $5,000....

....but you have to read up on it...i purchased an e-book on it, and it helped a ton...check it out @ www.dietryingpromotions.com

Because the money doesn't get to the root of humanity's problems. No matter how much money Bill Gates donates, people will still become sick and die. We will still have wars and poverty. Money doesn't fill that spiritual and moral void that most people have.

money is indeed important.
but as the saying goes...

money can buy books but not knowledge,
money can buy medicine but not health,
money can pay prostitutes but not love,

there many things that money can buy, but not all of those things can make you satisfied. there are so many times that although you have lots of money, the one thing you need and want can't just be bought.

in the end, it's how you take your blessings or challenges, how you face life, and how you cherish your loved ones that will make you happy.

remember what they say...

THE BEST THINGS IN LIFE ARE FREE!

Money is not you. Material things are not you. Certainly money is an important resource and it can solve some problems, but it doesn't make someone happy.

I don't mean to sound condescending, but it truly doesn't buy happiness.

Because it's true.

Happiness is a state of mind. And it doesn't matter how much money you have, you can't be happy if you won't allow it.
