I have a line manager who criticizes everything I do. He cancels meetings I book, badmouths me in front of other people and gives me projects to work on and then changes the goal posts so often I don't know how to proceed. He is constantly changing my priority list and then critcizes me for not getting things in on time. I have been doing the same job for 7 years and was respected for my work before he became my line manager. There were 3 members in the team plus the manager - 1 has been sacked and we have both been dragged in front of HR by this man. I seem to go home every weekend now worrying about work and wondering if I will have a job much longer.

Here is a thing. I'm 26, I do not have a degree, but I have an extensive portfolio. I got drawings, some 2D Photoshop work, and a lot of 3D works using 3Ds Max, Poser, Vue, Bryce. My past employers have utilized my graphic design skills creating ads, flyers, booth signs, etc...and each and every one of my projects had been successful. My 3D work had been used in PS2 games (my freelance efforts). I have designed a few logos for my friend's small businesses, which are now known in US and Europe. How do I approach getting a job in this field. How do I compile a resume for this???? For the past 10 years I have been in Administrative Support field working and getting to know a diversity of industries.

I have short term and long term disability insurance at work. I have also used up fmla and went on supplemental medical leave. I have since gone back to work and accumulated additional fmla, but still my attendance is not what it should be. my question is, instead of geting fired for poor attendance and losing my insurance, and job, when should i file for disability insurance which i have been paying for for sixteen years. It would be less than my earned income but would be better than nothing and no other employer would pay what i could draw on disability.

The CostCo Connection published an article discussing that taking into account credit reports is beginning to be a common practice in many regions.
I think they shouldn't be considered. This could maybe lead to problems of identity theft and don't see what a credit report has to do with an employment.
What do you think?

I kinda aked a similar question about my move to Brussels, but im finally getting in some base figures as far as salary.

Im provided a company car, insurance, so dont have to worry about transprtation. maybe gas. My after net pay will equal roughly 27,000 euros after ive converted it from dollars.

Im now waiting on the offer for cost of living allowance, how many more Euros should I be offered to live very comfortable as a single guy in a nicer area of city (somewhere safe, young, im 24, trendy) ? Its fairly entry level, but w/ a top notch U.S. firm,so Im not gonna let them lowball me. Im thinking that an additional 600-1000 euros is the range, but hope for more.

I beleive I get some other perks like lunch/dinner reimbursement weekly, cellular. I live a decent life now, dont go out much, but I will sure want to enjoy myself on weekend, once i actually make some friends, and 100% want to travel.Would net 40,000 euros be a decent life?
