I'm just wondering, because there's a co-worker where i work, and she's always gone because of medical reasons. They always have to ask everyone if they can fill in for her.

One time she was gone for at least 3 weeks- a month.

I know that legally I don't have to tell that I am pregnant but I feel that is being dishonest. I am two months pregnant and not really showing but I don't want to start a new job on the wrong foot. I know that I wouldn't be happy if I just hired someone and they were going to need several months off after only working for 7 months.

I worked for a temp agency for the 3rd largest food distributor in the U.S.

After three months of working there, the "Company" wanted to hire me as thier employee. They sent me to have a physical and drug test, I passed the drug test but not the physical, doctor put me on lifting restrictions. Get a call that I no longer have a job and good luck.

I guess what i'm saying is What companies hire on the spot but at the same time value skills other than SPEAKING?. call centers want vibrant people with speaking skills. I'm not that kind of person. and i've been struggling with my job search because of my limited speaking skills.

i have skills but none of them are Professional, just average skill

My skills are
-computers(mac, pc)
-computers graphics
-a bit of understanding of cmputers( did some programming study before but nothing that g reat, i did make some games
-I'm an average artist using pencil and color pencils and i have lots of ideas
-i have some musical talent but not that much
-i speak english, spanish and Japanese.. but none of them to a high level
-im good at problem solving
-i m pretty well rounded knowledge. i've studied about cultures
-i'm patient

Anywyas, none of that is useful to any Call centers or receptionist or administrative assistant just because i'm not a speaker and i'm shy. So who can possibly accept me?

i often ponder. I'm 27 unemployed and although i keep having interviews, i always fail to impress employers and thus remain jobless. I keep hearing that people with a college Education earn more than those who didn't have one. That's pure BALONY. It's only the ones who start off being outgoing and talkative, that succeed. Anyway, any tips on how to improve my chances of getting hired?

I keep trying, i study books on how to speak better.. But my brain doesn't seem to change. Employers want peole who have this personality that i don't have.

i'm 27 , graduated from college in 2003, had a cuple of temp jobs.. then lately i've been unemployed . My ressumes is good but i fail at interviews cause i never been a talkative vibrant person and even if i fake it... it will show that i'm not one of those people.. Just last week an interview: total failure.

Anyways i was thinking to take a long walk along streets with businesses and look for HELP wanted signs. Is this a good idea, and is it more likely to give me success at finding a job?

My husband is going to be getting out of the military soon due to medical injuries, he plans to claim unemployment. Would he be claiming through the state we currently live in, or does it work differently cause he would be a former government employee? What would happen to the payment if we were to move out of state after his discharge? How long could he expect to get unemployment for and how is the payment percentage calulated? Thanks in advance!
