What is job sharing and who is qualified?

Job sharing is generally done internally within a company. Two workers agree on sharing a job... perhaps they work alternating days, or perhaps they alternate for mornings and afternoons. I think it's basically a rarity in the workplace... one major reason it happens is that some people really don't want to work full-time because they want to have more time raising their children or being with family.
