I have an Associates degree in paralegal and I did a 10 week unpaid internship at a place that wasn't hiring but needed the extra help. I can't find any openings requiring anything less than 3 years experience. I can't do another internship because I have to get money and I currently have a full-time job doing office work. I want to find a paralegal job to make more money and provide more for my two kids. Can anyone help me?

I am currently employed and have received a new job offer paying 15k more with a monthly bonus and a higher base pay. I have decided not to take the job for various reasons..Do you think I should tell my current boss about the offer and how I turned the job downwith the hopes he will be impressed by my loyalty and/or even possibly give me a raise? If so how should i tell him?

What can I do about a coworkers who bring their sick children to the office? I have tried talking to our supervisor, but the supervisor says that if they have no babysitter and are needed at in the office they can bring the kids in.They wont let them work from home when the children are sick, they bring them in and I get sick along with everyone else.I like kids but HATE being sick....last winter and spring I had one cold after another. Other than look for another job, which I am considering, what else can I do? I dont want to be sick for the next 4 months!!

I'm shy in the usa and it's like an impossibility getting a job. And that's with me trying and speaking. In my usual life i don't have friends or anything but when job searching, i do try my best to change. However, i've spoken to Japanese people who are shyer than me and they have Jobs. How is that?

Is it easier for shy people in Japan to be accepted in companies?

Would i be right in saying that a 20,000 dolar could be paid in about 2 years if i payed about 2000 amonth? And is that realistic? I mean, now i live with my parents and i have never lived alone...

I bet it's harder than i think. So, does it really take about 30 years to pay it?

I graduated in 2003 and then they started charging me, i payed 300 a month for about 2 years, and then 150 the next few months.. then now i don't pay nothing cause i'm unemployed.
But when i was paying , i wasn't seeing any reduction in the total loan amount. Cheeses, i wonder if it ever goes down

I'm in a job I like (a lot), but in which I can't get the training I need. I've seen a job advertised which I think I would enjoy and in which I WOULD get the training I need. I've sent off for an application form, but when I fill it in I'm going to need a reference from my current job.

How do I go about getting one without giving the impression that I'm unhappy in my job/ I'm disloyal/ I'm eager to leave/ I hate my workplace etc?

I am a college student with a pretty tough schedule. I have a job and work as much as possible yet I'm still broke. I need something to make some extra cash that I can do at home (and is not a scam) or something that could easily fit into my schedule. Any suggestions???

I work in a department of 10 women, my boss has always favored a girl named Becca. Becca decided she needed to move 5 hours away to help with her family, so we hired another girl to take Becca's place.

The new employee was given Becca's old position, cubicle, phone number, etc.

4 months later Becca decided she wanted to come back, so my boss created a new position just for her, gave her a pay increase to help with her family problems, and gave her back her old cubicle.

The new girl was asked to move from the cubicle and was given a small desk to use in the hallway until "we could move to a new building." She stayed at the small desk for 9 months before we moved buildings.

The women (including me) in the department felt this was wrong, but they didn't say anything to our boss.

What do you think?

What in your opinion is a good job for a shy person to get? And I don't mean a "career". Just a regular full-time or part-time job.

Or to put it in another way, what jobs wouldn't require an outgoing personality?

My husband started a lascaping/pool job 3 months ago. At the time it was actually a blessing. He was getting paid $10/hr with partnership with his boss only 3 days per week.
His boss soon left to go to the UK to handle personal matters, and left my husband to care for the whole business. Even thought my husband worked alone hes till got payed the same $10/hr (and of course taxes). Now it's a couple months later.
My husband was getting $200 a week and we complained to his boss that we can't not afford it...
My husnand and I were immediately looking for a new job. His boss then told him he could work 4-5 days a week in order to make more income. We decided it's ok..so now hes still working caring for the whole business on his own. There are about 85 houses worth about $70 each, a hotel which is $600. He seems to be making great income. Is he taking advantage? Shouldn't he pay my husband more? I feel very frustarted, but perhaps I am wrong. I have 3 children to feed!

I missed a job interview for this morning that I scheduled while I was out of town. It occurred to me about an hour after the appointment time. The prospective employer had my home and cell phone numbers, but only called my cell. I've already called and left a message, apologing profusely?

That was about 40 minutes ago; what more can I do?

If they are interested enough to reschedule me, how do I get past this faux pas and have a successful meeting?

I admit to being preoccupied (death in the family over the holidays, stressing out behind having to fly through Denver to make it home for interview), but I'm usually more on top of my game than this.

Serious replies only...I've already beat myself up behind this.
