At first, no. The amount of money a photographer can make is dependant upon a few criteria.

1. The kind of name that you have established for yourself. This means that your clientel is so astounded with your work that you are flooded with referals. Supply and demand. The more people demand "YOUR" service, the more valuable you are.

2. The niche market you are in. Do you do weddings, Dog shows, Paper airplane conventions? Which area is going to demand your service the most and how many of your competitors also specialize in that market?

Depends. The highest paying assignments will be weddings. Portraits can be profitable as well, although you really need to distinguish yourself from the assembly line portrait studios like Sears, JC Penney, Wal Mart, etc. You won't be able to compete against them in price and make a decent profit.

Depends on what you're photographing and to whom you are selling the service... If you are doing weddings and events, then look at about $200-$300 per event, depending event size, number of pics, etc. If you are talking about for magazines or tabloids, then you have to sell your photos to those companies. If you are doing only portrait photography, you can look at $100+ per session/order depending on what people are willing to pay (just be sure to use non-scannable paper so they don't buy one picture and scan it in to print their own!)...
