I'm thinking about getting into the field and felt that it was right for me because I enjoy helping people and very into the medical field. I also know that there is a shortage of nurses, so I figure I'll never be jobless (right?). If anyone is a Nursing Student, Registered Nurse, Licensed Practial (Vocational) Nurse please fill me in on your honest experiences in the field. Where did you have your schooling? How long have you been one? What kind of Nurse are you? Thanks in advance!

After seeing the movie "A Devil wears Prada", which I found hilarious, I realised that Meryl Streep and my own boss could be evil twin sisters of one another. What about you? Do you have / did you have one of these awful bosses? Share your misery and memories!

Basically, I'm trying to save money for my masters degrees, travelling and PhD as funding is extremely competitive. I'm working in three jobs right now, doing a silly amount of hours, to try and save money, but this will stop in February when I head back to uni to complete my honours. Obviously I will be working throughout my degrees to save for the next one, and every summer, but I still need some extra cash to be able to do this. I do sell unwanted items on ebay and will probably do a car boot sale in the summer. I was also thinking about the possibility of being 'gunged' or something like that as it's fun and people may pay to see it! lol I understand it's very difficult to get sponsored for things which aren't for charity or anything, but any ideas would be welcome.

I need to fax a resume but I don't have access to a fax machine or nowhere to get to one in next couple of days (snowed in). Is it possible to be able to send something from my computer to their fax machine? Does it cost anything?

I have been looking for a job for about two weeks now, and just got one at the local grocery store working in the deli. During my interview I was told the position was around 15 hours a week, working from 3pm-8pm. I thought this would be perfect since I am in school. I also mentioned during my interview that I would need four days off for christmas, as I already have a plane ticket home. Well, my first day was yesterday, and already going back today is worrying me so much my chest hurts. Not only am I already scheduled for nearly 30 hrs this week, I've been told no time off (at all) for christmas or new years. In addition, I'm expected to work full 8 hr shifts (8-4) today and thursday. I don't mind the extra hours, but it scares me that the job has already changed so much. My mom says I should just quit, but I really want to like the job and I need the money. Advice would be appreciated. Please be kind as I'm already sick over this.

Most of the co-workers , supervisor and boss for the company i work for dont like me. The place that i work for has alot of people that dont like my kind of race. I mean no problem with that you dont have to like my race if you dont want to. It is a free country. But everymorning I work from 5am-3:30pm on a normal day. First two hours are overtime. Sometimes I have stuff to do and a family to take care of at times. So I cant "always" stay after 3:30, they tell me if "I" dont work overtime. I will lose my job and dont have one. But alot of other co-workers dont work overtime either, they go home when their regular day is over. And they still have their job. I know they are just waiting to get rid of me. I mean I know that they dont like my race. But that isnt right for them to get rid of me because of it. But if they do fire me, it is a At Will State. They can fire you regardless. They can give you a reason or not. What is a way a can prove they fired me because of my race?

I am working in Dubai and well paid. My wife was with me here but recently she delivered a baby girl in india and unfortunately that baby girl is heart patient. I can not sponsor her here becuase she needs treatment. My parents are old and they are alone. I cant concentrate on work here. If I will go back to india I will run out of money and if I will continue here I think of them every time. What should I do? Money is important or family values? Shall I leave my job and go back to give them moral support?
