Use the Microsoft Word templates for Resumes. There are several to choose from and they pretty much spell it out for you. Highlight your "helping out here and there" or your volunteer work. If you have not worked, you need to justify why. If you just graduated, nobody will expect you to have a work history. Otherwise, you better have a good reason (stayed at home with children, miltary service) If you went to university, the career guidance department should help you with this. Don't ask us to help you for free when they're getting paid (by your tuition dollars) for exactly that.

Hi,

I am a professional resume writer. I did this in the past and I can e-mail you a sample of my resume that you really need for free and as a good samaritan. my e-mail is charless64@yahoo.com. Also attach you RESUME also in microsoft format and I will correct and revise it and e-mail it back to you. Take care.

Find your local workforce development center, it's usually the place where people go to file for unemployment, they will help you do a resume and print it out for free. take this layout with you, because you are on the right track
