I need to fax a resume but I don't have access to a fax machine or nowhere to get to one in next couple of days (snowed in). Is it possible to be able to send something from my computer to their fax machine? Does it cost anything?

Windows PCs have a simple fax program bundled with the machine (in accessories if memory serves me correctly). It will take some tweaking but if you're snowed in, I guess you have some time on your hands!

If you want to receive faxes you will need to go online and acquire a service. I needed to do that once for an urgent matter and got a 30 day free trial, which I cancelled after it was no longer of use. Sorry, I can't remember who I used.

If you are using a Mac, it is more problematic. I haven't worked it out yet.

Good luck.

Your modem is a fax machine so you can use the Microsoft Word Fax Utility to send your details, remember, the modem can be used as a fax or an internet connection but not at the same time
