i have worked as a chef in kitchens before, only helpful answers please

You know about the kitchen environment so think about what kinds of goods are stored and the different demands that the kitchen staff and management will make on the store manager and how you would handle these.

I would expect questions on

food hygiene rules
health & safety rules
any relevant experience

how you plan your work/manage your time
how you deal with situations where you have conflicting demands

Good you have the experience, they will definitely ask about that. Think about challenges that you had before & how you were able to overcome/handle difficult situations. How would you handle a difficult customer or someone demanding something that is not there. Prepare for questions around hygiene as well and management of junior stuff. What value will you add in the company?
Why should you have this job? (yes, they ask in those words)
Why are you leaving your job?
What was the biggest accomplishment / failure in this position? ( usually ask for scenarios)
What major challenges and problems did you face? How did you handle them?
Be careful with the 'your weaknesses' question it is quite tricky. You may oversell yourself, by trying to say your weakness is something like being very helpful and it comes out as you are trying to make yourself look too good to be true. Careful.
