I dont want to take the risk becase I need this job. I think I will be getting an offer soon for a entry level marketing analyst position. The job advertised as 30-40K, that is what I told HR when they asked, and that is what I put down in my application.

I feel that this is a low and that it should be more like 38-45K; however I dont want to jepardize the job by negotiating. The company has a high interest in me and I already took a drug test, just waiting for the offer.

Info a bout the company:
Location is orange county, ca
It is in the computer industry.
Last quarter earnings were great.
Stock is trading at its 52 week high.
This is at their corporate hq, total employees is about 500.
Company is growing.

i went to my interview and i did wat they told me to do..go to the costumer service and they told me to go up the stairs and turn left..and wen i got up the stairs i asked one of those ppl working their and his like she just left and so he called her from his phone thingy and i was like ok so should i wait here and i did and i waited like 10 mins and she wasnt their so i decided to knock on the door
and no one was their so i went back to the customer service and they called her name again so i waited and then that person from the customer service told me to come talk to the manager and the manager told me she had to leave cuz of an emergency so their like call or we will call u to reschedule and their gonna let her know that i came....

ok so do you think they will give me a call to reschedule????

I receive my payroll bi-weekly--26X a year and did not recieve it oday--firm says they are sending a check---but this could take an additonal 5 days--is this legal--or must they provide payroll on the day it is due?

I have a construction job which I have attained for the last three years. I am also a student working on a BA degree. I have just transferred to the University with all of my GE finished. It is my parents dream for me to attain a BA degree but it is now a snag with my boss. He has always known that I am a student and thinks that it is a waiste of time because I don't know what I am going to do with it when I am finished with college. He has taught me many skills within his profession and it is hurtful for me to think of using them for someone else on the job site (in finding another job) my school comes first but I care very much about my lasting impression with my current boss as he has been a construction mentor and friend. please respond with what you think I should do and let me know I will be much abliged thank you

I am a Stay at Home mom and that's what I want to continue to do until my youngest is in school all day. I currently do at home daycare and have for the last 4 years. It's not a knock down your door because we want to pay you a ton of money kind of job. I am looking for something I can do for supplemental income or to be rid of doing daycare altogether. In the past I have sold Tastefully Simple and Meleluca. I don't want to sell. I don't live in a very populated area and don't have many people to sell to. I don't have a website to sell things from either. I have done secret shopper things, which, let's face it makes minimal amounts of money as well. I don't have the time or energy to do surveys ect. they're a wast of time. I'm looking for a JOB! Something I get paid for and not have to pay for information to get something, start up ect. If anyone knows of anything like this, please let me know! Thanks!

In the past I have actually been declined for a job because I was considered overqualified for it, (which was true), but I already knew I was worth more money than that job. However, I needed the money and the job was open, so why does a business care if your overqualified for a position as long as you are still willing to do it.

It would seem to me that they are getting something like a PhD mind/worker for high school pay!? I do not have a PhD, but you get the analogy I was trying to make. So you agree with me, is being overqualified for a job any reason not to get it?
