I work in retail management and I cannot find anyone in the current generation that actually wants to work! What is wrong with people's work ethic these days? We pay more then most places do, are flexable, and really don't ask them to do much compared to other places, but we have gone through a couple dozen people in 3 months due to the fact that they refuse to do anything but sit on their butt. Is there a reason no one wants to actually work anymore?

I hated being a loan officer so I took a loan processing course online & got my certificate. Now, I've been looking for work with no results. There are hardly any entry level positions because most of these companies want experience in this field. Also, it seems the mortgage jobs have slowed down since the summer started. Does anyone have any suggestions? Does anyone think mortgage jobs such as loan processing will pick up soon?

not looking for those stuffing envelopes, huge starting costs, type ones, maybe something in data entry or putting things together or whatever. Also no avon, mary kay, and so on. I'm not into door to door sales, looking for something I can do in my home in my free time so I can also take care of the kids at the same time

I'm planning on applying to a top MBA program in Europe, focusing on entrepreneurship. I have a BS in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan, and finishing up my MS from the University of Notre Dame while working full time in an aerospace company and doing research for the university. My engineering work experience extends from project engineer, lead designer to systems engineer. (2+ yrs) My biggest concern is the lack of finance, accounting, marketing, and management experience. What is the perception of US engineering students by top business schools in Europe? With my background (2-3 yrs experience), is it easier to get into a top MBA program in Europe or in the US?

Since I hate working in sales, but switching fields would elimate my 7 years experience and put me all the way back to entry level.

How do you guys feel about balancing careers and parenthood. I am all for it. I think there is no reason you cannot do both. But do you all think that parents should get special treatment, ie: extended maternity leave and being able to come back to your same position, when all the while you were gone and someone else was doing your job? I am just curious what people have to say about this. I really feel for the people who choose not to have children, yet basically miss out on some perks.

sliped on a dock and landed on elbow had stitches, and then backing out of the way of another truck and getting your truck hung up and have to be pulled out. The truck you were in not damaged. Also one guy was giving wrong directions, we think on purpose be cause he didn't like me. Then turns it into the office that I was not following directions. When I called him he would laugh and say of I gave you the wrong directions. Actually sent me out of my way 5 to 6 miles. Then this same guy accused me of taking something that I didn;t and his inventory is messed up and mine is fine. He still says i have this item or took it to the wrong place! HHHmmm if I did it was under his directions! LOL
