when filling out a job application to be cashier and it says, objective for position, what should I put?

this is my first application and it will be my first job. I dont have any references and I am a little stuck

That's what I would write!

Now, if you don't have any references, you need to ask your teachers! You should also get some volunteer experience (you can even volunteer for a short-term activity like a week-long music or cultural festival) so that you can use the volunteer co-ordinator as a reference. You can also use your volunteer experience to plump up your work history.
