I have an interview tomorrow in an HR role and have been told that I there will be a computer competency test, testing my knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Can anyone provide any suggestions as to what I can expect to come up in this test and how I can prepare?

I redeemed my parents house after it had been sold for taxes I paid the taxes and any penalties but it is in my dead brothers name, who has a wife and children. They don't want it but a lawyer wants over $3000 to do the paper work. How do I get the deed in my name.

My mom is a realtor in the Bay area and she hasn't been selling houses lately and now it is causing us to move to a smaller house. It's in the Columbus, OH area. Real estate prices aren't exactly sky rocketing. But, what types of benefits do I get if I buy a rental home and make about $20 profit off of it? If I did this with even 100 houses that is only $2,000 profit a month...excluding any maintenance or repairs. How does one make money in real estate with margins like that?

I started a new job a few weeks ago and I do most of the accounting. I am new to payroll and I need some help. Payroll is done through an outside service but I need to make a journal entry for the full amount of employee and employer taxes. How do I enter the employee and employer's share of payroll taxes?

When I say full amount, I mean for each payroll period- not for the year. I have the amounts for each payroll period from the service. I just need to know how to make the journal entry to record it in my accounting software.

I attend college in Minnesota and will relocate to the Denver metro area in January 2008. I will begin sending my resume out in February. In a perfect world, I would be able to schedule all of my interviews during a one week period in the summer.

What is the appropriate way to go about this? Should I mention that, "I will be in the area between XYZ dates and would be available for a face-to-face interview at that time?"
