I attend college in Minnesota and will relocate to the Denver metro area in January 2008. I will begin sending my resume out in February. In a perfect world, I would be able to schedule all of my interviews during a one week period in the summer.

What is the appropriate way to go about this? Should I mention that, "I will be in the area between XYZ dates and would be available for a face-to-face interview at that time?"

I would like to thank you in advance for taking time out of your day to assist me in my efforts. Truly, your help is appreciated!

Best Regards,

Joshua

I think that is a very smart way to approach it. As the time gets closer, you might want to follow up with phone calls to confirm the time/date. You win points for your error-free English, syntax and politeness.

I would try to lenghtin the time to possibly two to three weeks and mention that the reason you can only take interviews at this time was because of school commitments also i would not put this in your cover letter i think it sounds like you have to much on your plate and cannot manage your time wisely i would be very careful with this contact your local employement board or even a local buisness in the same field for advise also your guidance counselor or proffessors might have a few tips try your business/ english teacher

Yes, I would definitley include this information in a cover letter. Be sure to tell that you're available for a phone interview at anytime, but including a specific timeframe for a face-to-face interview is a big plus also.

I think you have it right. That shows you are serious about the job and organized enough to schedule multiple interviews in advance. You may have to be a little flexible with your dates but I do not see and issues with your plan.

You could say that in your cover letter. That doen't mean the companies will necessarity go by that, but can't hurt to mention it.
