Given the current market volatility-would'nt it be more profitable to trade short term, no fee, mtual funds as opposed to stocks and options for steady income? Mutual funds that allow you to go in and out every 30 days without penalties. There are lots of them and the markets keep going down.

Two months ago, our Realtor took us to see a home in Mass. Our offer was accepted and we went through the inspection. We asked the sellers to repair one minor issue. Our Realtor came back to us reporting that the listing agent said the couple were insulted at our request and no longer wanted to sell. Weeks later, after writing an email to the sellers explaining that we loved the house, we received a phone call directly from the sellers, telling us that the inspection was never the issue. They said they were planning to purchase another home, the sale fell through, and they couldn't sell their home yet. To date, we have still never been told about the issue by the listing agent.

We think it's probable that the listing agent (a REALTOR) did not tell us about the issue because she believed we'd go look at another property and she'd lose the sale.

Knowing that Realtors © are required to go by a code of ethics, do we have the right to file a complaint about her unethical behavior?

What is the legal status on cutting out the agency. Could you apply for a job go for the interview then a week later contact the comapny directly and offer services for a cheaper rate? Is there a legal point or is it just going the really upset the agencies and make you enemies?

I am a first time home buyer and have identified a property that has a taxable value of 136,000 from the county. The following table shows the rate of appreciation in taxable value:
2002 - 108,000

2006, 07 - 136,000

Its for sale by owner. There are 3 properties in the vicinity that are on sale for the past 6 months. This one is in market for the past 3 weeks and the owner now has a For Rent sign as well.

I am not sure how much my first bid should be. Help me!!!!!!!!

In a moment of weakness, I cosigned on a loan with a friend. She has since moved away and ran into some financial hurdles, I guess. Long story short, she supposedly has a job now, and an apartment, but it's been 8 months now and I have been paying off the loan when it wasn't even mine to begin with(it was for here school). Should I get a bank loan and cover it all myself and leave her out of it or is there another way I can get her to pay>? I was thinking of driving out to Wisconsin myself and showing up on her dorrstep, demanding the money!! Help me before I do that!!!

It's so annoying!

I hate getting emails all the time from people telling me to stop writting the at some email address because they are getting another one. Some people change their email address like 6 times per year.
I've had the same email address for the last 12 years.

I also hate it when people are constantly telling they have new cell phone number.
I've had several cell phones in the last few years, but I've made sure to keep my number the same for the last 7 years.

I don't get it! Today an email address is as important to get ahold of as home address to receive important information from work, bank and legal stuff. Why do people change it so much?

Today, most jobs, customers, and people will try reaching you by calling your cell phone before calling your house. Why do people change their numbers so much?
