Hi. I am in process of looking for a house. If I get preapproved, let's say for example, 180,000, but I am really only looking to spend about 120,000 for a house, because I don't want to put myself in a position where I can't make that higher payment, if you know what I mean. Anyway, am I obiligated to share with the real estate agent the full amount I am preapproved for , or can I just stay with what I want to spend, knowing that I already approve for at least that much. Reason was partly because I heard that some agents will try to push you into properities for the whole preapproved amount ( ex. 180,000) , even if you weren't planning to spend that much. Then, you have some agents who might reveal this to the seller, If they figure I can pay more, then I may miss out on a good deal. Just a thought. What are your experiences and thoughts on this? Thank you! :)
Thank you!

I had won an item in good faith from an Ebay Seller. The item was received damaged, not like the picture shown and in general in very poor condition.

The reply i received was...'What do you expect for £5.00',

My point is .. Doesnt it really annoy you when this happens and as a result im very wary of dealing with ebay ....

Thanks for taking time to read my RANT...

Martyn

HAPPY XMAS.

My credit score is 730, but, since I teach for an online college, my income is only around 22,000/year. My fiancée’s credit score is low (we've yet to check it; but I'm doing that this week before we meet with a financial advisor as part of our pre-marriage counseling). I would guess it is in the 500s. My fiancée makes about 55,000 a year. We are both in our mid-twenties.

We are recently engaged with the date set for October of 2008. I would like to wait to buy a house until after we are married, but I am worried about what will happen to our rates and credit scores after we get married.

Should I try to buy a house before we get married, or would it be okay to wait? How much of a financial or rate hit would we take if we wait? Would it help if we waited and my father (who has a high credit score and income) cosigned?

Any advice is appreciated!

They claim to help anyone who needs a cash loan whether bad credit, low income, or job status. they also have a $35.00 processing fee. I am pretty much at my wits end in finding a company to loan to me b/c of my bad credit, so i sent in the application w/the fee. now i'm second guessing my actions. so has anyone else dealt with them, if so, what was the outcome?

I could also use a layman's definition. My grandparents are 77 and 75. They have a fixed retirement income from government pension. They have a house worth about 130k and owe about 90k on it. They have trouble getting by. Please give suggestions.

There could be other ways to pay for community services. Goods and sales taxes, income taxes, welcome taxes, fuel taxes, pay-per-use fees etc.

I think it's just wrong that somebody who owns his house doesn't really own it and still has to pay to live in it.

There has got to be a solution to protect property rights.

What do you think ?

I recently got an interview through a recruitment agency for a job that I really, really want. Unfortunately the employer had to cancel on the day due to unforseen circumstances, and I was told by the recruitment agency that they would be in touch once they had arranged a new date. 3 days later I still haven't heard a new date, despite phoning the agency every day. I have the name of the person who would be conducting the interview, shall I contact them directly to let them know how keen I am?
