It varies a lot. You could buy a simple franchise to run out of your home for a modest amount ($500???) or you could spend over $1 million to buy a great parcel of land and open a McDonalds restaurant. And there's thousands of options in between.

Do you want to start a franchise or purchase one. If you have a current business then by franchising it out you would be paid a franchise fee and receive royalty payments on the sales of that business. Generally it is 5% of the top line.

You can get a franchise for as little as $10,000 and it goes up from there.
