Is anyone claiming back PPI from their bank? If so how far have you got? What was the banks response? Mine has wrote back saying they have no case to answer and I should write to the Ombudsman.

FYI - essentially you have to show PPI was 'miss-sold' .. typically by showing that the PPI exclusion clauses means you were never covered and would never be able to claim (or that you never knew what you were signing up to in the first place)

.. see link = for example, usually all self-employed and temp staff are excluded, as are people who 'have reason to expect redundancy' and those who have not worked for the same company for at least a year = so if you fit into any of these categories when you were sold the policy, plainly it was a case of miss-selling ...

If your complaint is that you were given all the facts but never understood them or that you have now discovered you could have got the same cover for a fraction of the price elsewhere, too bad ...
