I am 17 years old, almost 18. I am interested in investing in the stock market. My grandpa has taught me a little bit about it. I need more advice...maybe from somebody who recently invested and succeeded or somebody who works in this field.

Things I don't understand:
-How much money I'd need to put in an investment(for example I don't know if I can just put $100 or if it has to be thousands, so please help with that)
-How to buy stock without a broker

I'd like to hear from anyone if they feel they can help me out.

Thanks,
Sam

I would like to be a hotel manager, but reading these things kinda make me second guess.
I want a job I can just specialize in and not go to college for ever. I want a job that doesn't keep me in an office and not bore me to death. Perferably a job that involves some travel.
Any ideas would be great.

I was recently laid off and cannot make my mortgage payments. My financial counselor has not been able to secure an equity loan or refinance due to my poor credit rating and the lender's say that the house needs too much work. It has now been suggested to me that i let an investor buy the house. I would receive some money up front, the investor would make the monthly payments while making repairs to the house. When the house was ready to be sold I would receive additional money. Does anyone have first hand knowledge of this program and whether it is a good deal for someone like me?

I have been in a Chapter 13 repayment plan for the last year. Due to my adjustable rate mortgage, my payment has gone up. At the beginning of the plan I did not sign a reaffirmations on my mortgage, but I have continually paid my mortgage payment on top of my Chapter 13 repayment plan and now with my mortgage payment going up, I can not afford to pay the mortgage. I think it would be best for me to let the house get foreclosed on, but I want to continue making the Chapter 13 payment.

Question 1: If the house sells for less than what is owed, am I still responsible for the deficiency?

Question 2: Will I still be able to make my Chapter 13 repayment plan at the same amount that I'm paying now?

Question 3: Will I still get my full tax return refund?

Question 4: Does anyone know if Massachusetts has a foreclosure deficiency law while I'm in a Chapter 13.

Any advice would be helpful!

Thank you.

I am trying to decide whether I should sign up for the Child Care flexible spending account offered in my company.
My 3 years old son is going to PRE-K3 and we pay around $600 every month. Can I add the tuition to my itemized deduction when I fill fax in the next couple months?
My employer offers Child Care Flexible Spending Account which set aside $5000 from my paycheck, pre-tax, to pay for the tuition.

Do I save more money if I sign up for the Flexible Spending Account? or it is the same as I add the tuition to to itemized deduction

Thanks!

Last Friday I signed a lease with an apartment that I didn't want....I did it because I was in an abusive relationship and I had to get out immediately.

Now that I'm there I can't bear the fact of being there for a year. It's tiny, it's expensive, and I hate the neighborhood. I acted too fast, and I already signed the lease and put down $3000 for my security deposit.

Please someone tell me what my options are to get out of there.

I just opened a new Disney Rewards card from Chase and transferred my balance from Citi- about $2500. I realized when I went to sign up online that I had another card from Chase that has not been used in about 3 years. I called and after much pleading from the Chase person closed my account. I have an excellent credit score- but is this going to make my credit score go down? I still have the Citi card should I keep that open or cancel that?
