financial analyst - someone who researches and analyzes companies and securities and who recommends investments

Investment banker - special banker who helps companies with big deals, including issuing new stocks or bonds

I'm sure if you start out as an analyst you can later move up the ladder.

An investment banker is the generic term for those who work in the industry. Investment bankers get money for companies who need it or sell companies when the owner wants to sell. Financial analysts are the lowest level employees within an investment bank. They do the number crunching and presentation creation that needs to get done. The senior investment bankers are the ones who make calls, have relationships and make rain happen.

You have to endure almost 10 years of the job before you can becoming a Managing Director and have a "sexy" job where you get paid a couple million each year.

Generally investment banks recruit from top-notch schools and universities. If you're already out of school, the easiest path to break in would be going to a top business school and interviewing for a position there once you finish.

A financial analyst crunches the numbers and does the financial modeling that the investment banker uses to do the deals...the glamorous side of the deal. The investment banker is the one who makes the big $, also. With the right firm you can make this transition. You will need an MBA from a first rate business school, especially if you go to work for one of the top investment banking firms.

An analyst helps individuals assess different financial opportunities, whether investments or savings. An investment banker works with companies to actively invest and handle their money. And as far as getting them...I would hope you have either a degree in Accounting or Finance.

Also as far as sexy...yeah no idea how to answer that one....

Analyst is generally the fledgling position in an i-bank. You will have to work your fanny off for a few years, then you can be a flashy i-banker if you still want to!

I'm earning good money with this binary option signal sofrware ( http://forexsignal.kyma.info ) What I'm going to show you now might irritate old-fashioned traders who can't accept that a piece of software can outperform what they have learned through many years of trial and error
