My husband was working for himself for 4 months. Each week I took the necessary taxes out and put them in a "business" account. About a month ago he used the money to bail a friend out of jail. Now tax season is fast aproaching and he has nothing to put in for those 4 months. He had a "regular" job before this 4 months and he has one now but for those 3/4 months we owe about $1400.00. Am I going to be held responsible for that as well becasue were married?

It shows total balance of 1100 at 24% interest with 6 mos left. So if I wanted to pay if off right now what would it be?

Hi.
I'm a high school student and I just got an interview at Panera Bread and I don't know what to wear. I know I have to dress nice but is it ok if I wear a nice pair of jeans?

Also if I get the job what can I expect? And does Panera Bread have a uniform?

Thanks.

I will graduate in May with an Associate's degree in Accounting and will begin working on my Bachelor's next fall. I am looking to relocating to Raleigh, NC (an hour from my current location) soon after graduation, but I don't know how to begin the job search. When should I begin sending out resumes and to whom? Besides temporary agencies specializing in accounting, where else can I look to get my foot in the door?

My husband was married before and has been divorced for about 3 years. We tried to get accounts or loans together but he is unable to get any due to the fact that she is defaulting on credit cards they had when they were together. When they divorced he took out a loan to pay her his half of the debt. She did not pay off the cards and his credit sucks. Yesterday we got a bill of hers in the mail that is still in his name. I cannot get through to him how angry this makes me. Our credit is suffering because of her and the fact that we got this bill in his name and in care of her really makes me angry. Why didn't one of them make calls to get his name off? What do I do to get through to him and try to get his credit cleared up? I have no idea what household bills are still in his name and neither does he. She is always late on all her credit cards. We don't have a copy of his divorce papers becuase he gave them to her when she lost her copy. Any ideas?

I have already pulled a copy of all 3 credit reports and went through and tried to recognize the items. I also have the phone numbers and addresses for some of the places, but not all. Is it best to start with the small bills and work up or the larger bills and work down? The majority of the collection accounts are for medical bills from when my daughter had surgery. Any ideas that may help me get on track would be greatly appreciated. I also know that once I get this settled and as well as now, I need to make sure all of my bills are paid on time and that the accounts in good standing need to keep low balances. Thanks.

Last year I claimed my wife on our taxes, she didnt work and I had a salary of about $21,000. I received about $1200 on my refund. This year I am at around $24,000 for the year with my wife as a dependant. My wife is working partime and is at about $4,000 for the year with no dependants. We have no children and we rent. I have been claiming my wife all year as a dependant. Could I even do that? Could I claim my wife as a dependant on this year's tax return? Other people have told me that I cannot claim her and I check the IRS website and they don't have a specific answer to my question. We will be filing jointly.

after almost two years, our land lord has decided that he wants to remodel the house we live in and offered to move us in to a one bedroom trailer almost fifteen miles from both mine and my boyfriends work. right now we live in an upstairs apartment which has plenty of space for us all, as we have four cats. so, about a month ago he informed us that we were going to have to move but he NEVER gave us a formal date as to when we had to be gone. on december 3rd he told us that he would like us to be out by the 10th. i told him that wasnt near enough time and that we have been looking since we first spoke about the situation, but nothing was available as of yet. He then informed me that he was going to hire a lawyer to" get us out". we don't have a lease agreement, so what rights do we have? can he really kick us out like this ? i have looked on the internet but can't find any info on this particular problem-so any help would be much appreciated.

I'm going back to school FT next month. I talked to my boss this morning to see what options he might offer. He basically said work FT or nothing. I understood that before I walked in there but figured you never know 100% what someone else will say. He asked that I write something up stating that I'm leaving the company. What do I write? I've never given notice before. It was always a situation of "you're fired" or "Go F yourself" with my past employers. I've worked here 10 years now.
